now i know many of you will say, i'm a, the glass is half full, optomistic type of person, but if ginn doesnt run those two ko's for td's, we probaly wouldnt have seen our offense do what it did, i was very impressed w/the way sanchez was hitting, edwards, cotch, and keller.

otherwise we would haved done what we do best, run the football, it now looks like we have a complete offense, i'm not sure were the dolphfags rank in pass d, but if its nowhere near the bottom, then BIG props to our o.

and a rookie leading us down for the potential game winner [not his fault he got sacked on 3rd and 3] says something to me.

to play devils advocate - the offense would reach this plateau at one point because Sanchez is progressing very well and the WRs are healthy and the running game is beastly. I wish that all three phases would come back together like they were in September.

the Fins pass D is in the 20s, i know that.

this offense can be scary for years as long as the RBs and OL are replenished. And that time is next year.

Sanchez can score with his arm and legs. He's a playmaker.

I think you're a glass half empty person. Winning is the name of the game. Ginn's returns were a negative as far as the Jets are concerned.

I'm not worried about Sanchez, he will be a very good QB.

Nothing good comes out of a loss (unless of course your NE have your starter Bledsoe get crushed and bring in Brady) It was a tight ballgame and our offense was going to need to open up in the second 1/2 anyway. Its not the first week we have displayed that type of ability either we did it in Miami the last time.

With that being sad is there anything that we are lacking? What would be like the last piece to the puzzle where we would feel comfortable ..

ummm...he realizes that we lost and is trying to find a silver lining. Pretty much says eternal optimist to me, because I certainly don't see it as a blessing in disguise. However it was nice to see them move the sticks. I just wish it was to pad the score and not play catch up.

I don't see our Special Teams meltdown as any kind of blessing, disguised or not.

But if we're to take anything at all positive from Ginn's returns, it is that coaching is an on-going, always-evolving, never-ending process. I'm sure Westhoff was comfortable early in the season, especially after having worked so hard with STs again at TC, but now he realizes it's obviously time to revisit the basics and re-practice what was instilled in August.

Were the two returns a fluke or do our STs need work again? Who knows, but we can't take the chance that it wasn't a fluke, so back to the practice field we go. I'm confident that at the end of the day, Westhoff will have this under control again. He's too good a STs coach to assume they were flukes.

One can only hope that all three teams can fire on all cylinders in unison from here on out. If they don't, we have no hopes of getting into the playoffs. If they do, however, it's not too late to pull out a pretty good season and MAYBE still have a shot at some kind of playoff appearance.

While it sucked to lose, it did force us to open up the offense a bit.

It was good to see Mark and the receivers (including Keller) making plays. Still, I love the ball controll first offense. Turnovers and special teams killed us. If we can get stout defensive play like that and move the ball with any consistancy in the second half of the season all is not lost.

The Dolphins secondary is awful. Who cares if we could pass on them? The Patriots might drop 100 on them Sunday.

Why does it take for us to be behind to finally open the offense...

Schotty needs to find a rhythem, he needs to put the right combinations of pass and run together, this offense should be a bit off balanced leaning more toward the run, but not to any one extreme.

After looking at them again, the pursuit to the ball carrier by everyone is evident. Now I'm no Westy, but to me it looks alot like a combination of things, over pursuit , poor tackling and breaking out of the lanes way too early, which left the outside contain as non existent.
The most damning factor for me though is that there were players on those STs that just should not have been there.

Our D will be fine no matter who plays because of Rex so we desperately need to draft an OL first then use late draft picks if we have any left to fix our DL

people would kill schotty if we started to throw the ball a lot after two 300 yard rushing performances... If we start slinging it and Sanchez had another one of those games he would get blasted

How come NE beats up on a couple teams that quit and they are unbeatable again??? I think Miami has a great chance to ram it downs NE's throat about 50 times and beat them.

If your looking for a silver lining in this game look at Sanchez's and Edwards stats against Miami in the two games we played them. These two are going to light the Phins up for years to come.
