6'2' 250lbs from what i read has some character issues but most web sires says he would of been a top 10 pick had he come out rihgt after his junior year before he got into trouble

ive heard his name thrown around and the few virginia games i caught he was all over the field and laying the hammer.

then again thats not a whole lot to go by, but i remember the announcers going on n on about him.

id say hes at least worth bringing into camp or just sign him on the practice squad if he gets no other offers.

    1. he has " character issues " . ( our new head coach does NOT want players with " character issues " ) .

    2. he has " injury/medical issues " ( i think he had a knee injury ) .

As Ive said, I would not mind taking a chance with a 4th rounder. Mangini would, though...

He's the guy that Marvin Jones was supposed to become. This guy is a straight up player. He has played in the 3-4, but would also be a stud in the 4-3 as well.

If he were to go to a team with decent DT's, he'd have every chance to be like (believe it or not) a more atlethic version of Ray Lewis (of course that's in the 4-3)!

Watch him play before you compare him to Ray Lewis, for all his talent, he makes some ridiculous mistakes, on and OFF the field.

Everyone talks about all these top ten or first round picks who fell out of the draft or to the late rounds. If he really has the talent of a top-ten pick then we should get him. But if this info is wrong there is no point

This guy is an INSANE athlete. Between the lines, this guy would be a fantastic addition to this team.

Since hes from Al Groh's program, Im sure Mangini will get the lowdown on Brooks' character issues and all that nonsense. Personally Id love to see them spend a third round pick on him, hes potentially a dynamite player.

For anybody that doesnt know, he wasnt eligible since he got kicked out of Virginia before the deadline to declare for the NFL draft.Saying this the highest i would go is 2nd round i think he would be gone by the 3rd.

Bingo! Jets will find out all they need to know from Groh! They drafted D'Brick from the program, signed Monsanto Pope from the program and signed at least 2 guys as FAs from the program. If he is worth drafting in the Supplemental Draft, they'll find out from Groh. My best guess is that if he was kicked off the team by Groh, they won't touch him.
