We're all competitive and obviously always want wins, but despite the bumps so far this season you can't not be excited about the potential we have in this team that will come within the next couple of years with experience. This is a very young and talented team that I look forward to watching grow up over the season and future.

I agree that these games hurt, but that to me is why this team shows promise, but also isn't that great now. The defense has played well in almost every game, but the offense, special teams, and coaching have been inconsistent. That to me is a lot better than if they were consistent - consistently mediocre. It shows that the talent is there, it's just the execution that needs to be sharpened.

The Jets aren't experienced enough to not have these hiccups this year, and they aren't good enough to overcome them, especially with injuries to important players like Jenkins, Washington, Cotchery, etc. This really isn't a surprise if you think about it. I'd much rather have this than 2006, when it was obvious that the team was overachieving and getting breaks just to be slightly better than average.

Another thing that hasn't really been mentioned...

Before the last 4th down play, they let 20 seconds come off the clock, and then used the timeout. Because of this, enough time came off the clock that the Phins didn't have to run another real play when they got the ball back. If he was gonna use the timeout, use it right away or not at all. It cost us a last second shot at winning the game.

Jets fans are a bunch of thin skinned whiners. I understand why we are the way we are (this franchise has put us through a helluva lot to be sure) but it's ridiculous how every time the Jets lose a game people immediately start pointing fingers and preparing to jump off a ledge.

If Shonn Greene doesn't fumble and the Jets special teamers do their job, then the Jets win today's game handily and everybody's thrilled with Ryan. Instead, we harp on the little stuff and freak out. I've got news for you guys: Ryan has made plenty of mistakes, but even as a rookie he's done a better job than anyone I can remember not named Parcells. He's been dealt a tough hand with regards to injuries and scheduling and he's holding his own with a rookie QB, you can't ask for too much more. And he's only going to get better as he gets experience.

He is just like his father and lets his arrogance stand in the way of his decision making process. He did it in the first game because he thought the Fins wouldn't score against his defense (even though they had all night) and didn't use his time outs.

This is a personality trait that can't be fixed. Hard to believe that an assistant wasn't telling him to use his TOs but then, maybe someone was and he refused to listen.
