We have to remember that Sanchez will have growing pains, so that means that the rest of the team must play well for us to win.

If there is too much pressure on Sanchez to win the game for us, we will not come out winners

Those two Ginn run backs killed us from that standpoint. Yes Sanchez DID in fact respond, but in the end it was a tad out of his reach, and going back to the run game for long gains just was not an option today.

This team can still make the playoffs, because the D did come up big for us once again.

Fuck that , sanchez played good enough to get it done. our special teams decides to suck now and our O.C. is the worst in the league.

We're not making the playoffs. This is another throw-away season and this is not a "win-now" team. Let's hope to see some continued development from Sanchez. I'm concerned by what I've seen from this Coaching Staff recently.

  5. Clearcut logic and optimism works for 99.9% of franchises. But not this one.

Sanchez will fizzle into mediocrity and we'll still be the same underachieving bullshit for the next decade.

This was probably Sanchez's best game yet, I don't know what you're talking about.

You don't go for two in the third quarter of a one score game. Especially when you're offense clearly isn't versed in goal line plays. Two penalties in three conversion attempts? That's ugly.

Sanchez did nothing on the first half, and woke up when the team play forced him to throw. It was silly how many run plays there were in a row. There should have been more balance from the offense.

This was a great game for Sanchez in the long run. He's showing us glimpses of leading us when the team needs him. Those 2-pt conversion attempts should not have been called, they have to take the extra point until it's absolutely neccessary to go for 2. All in all, this was a game that should have been won but wasn't. I think it's safe to say Miami got lucky and stole one, they beat us on Monday night though.

Obviously neither the offense or defense were perfect today, but no one should expect them to be. How anyone can pin this loss on anything other than horrific special teams play is beyond me. The 2-point conversions also did not affect anything - if the Jets kick so do the Dolphins, and the Jets are still 4 points back on the last drive (everyone seems to be forgetting that the Dolphins also went for 2 and failed).

I just lost a lot of respect for you because of this comment.

How can you knock Mark Sanchez after the game he had today? Give me a fucking break.

Even with the loss, I'm very fucking impressed by our rookie quarterback.

"Underachieving" ??? What the hell do expect from a non-playoff team with a rookie quarterback and no nose tackle?

This is Mark Sanchez's team now. He played a hell of a game.

The special teams unit lost this game.

    Very tough loss,

Even tougher for those of us who live here in south FL. How long has it been since the Fins took both games from us in one season,,...

Anyway, we knew this was going to be the case the minute the Jets decided to start Mark over Kellen. I think many fans got excited by those first 3 wins and just how posied he look and behaved. Yet, he is a rookie and a very young rookie at that and at this point might as well just let him grow into the job and take his lumps now.

So with that I think 8 and 8 is a reasonable season and of course no shot at the playoffs this time around. ........

I wanted to add that I do not blame this loss on Mark, but lack of production in the first half was a key to this game...

I was adamantly against keeping him after last year. Only the Jets "clean house" but keep the OC and Dc. Seriously?

That being said, Sanchez is so fucking bad it's not on the OC alone. But yeah, feel free to run more when it actually is working.

  17. My comment was not directed around Mark Sanchez and his performance. It was more just the way things go for this franchise. Sanchez actually played well. Young Qb's named Pennington,Nagle,Todd, and O'Brien have played well for this franchise as well.
