I just checked weather.com for this Sunday's game and it's showing High/Low of 52/40, few showers. I am aware that this far into the forecast shouldn't be taken seriously and it is very likely that we'll have a good weather game. However, it didn't stop me from thinking about the QB battle. It's been repeated over and over again that in this game, at our home ground, we'll have an advantage. God I hope so, at least from the fans! I happen to be in the minority that has a concern about Henne actually having an advantage over Sanchez in NY/NJ windy conditions seeing one played in Cali, and one in a cold and windy Michigan. Sanchez didn't prove to any one of us that he has adapted just yet. If a strong gameplan isn't set, this could be a very ugly game.
The Jets need to do what they did last week. establish the run, re-establish the run, make sure they establish the run, and then take a few shots down the field if circumstances warrant. Sanchez was a very lucky passer his first few games. That's why the numbers looked so good. He completed just about every 3rd down pass he attempted and the defense kept dropping picks. Next year the Jets can take the wraps off of the passing game, when they have a healthy WR corps and Sanchez has another year in the system. Asking him to pass a lot right now is just setting him and the team up to fail against any half-decent defense.
I can't go and had to sell my tickets, so I'm guaranteeing a 58 degree sunny day with no wind and one small cloud in the sky. You're welcome.
Henne does have starts in nasty weather over a four year starting career at Michigan. The home field advantage may be a scratch because of this also. He has played in HUGE games with over 100k people and been boo'd alot, so i don't think he rattles easily. They called him "The Robot" in college because he has a tough consistent demeanor.....
If I remember correctly, Henne started at home vs. Buffalo, home vs. us and home vs. Saints so this is his first career road start. Fans have got to be loud on this schmo!
Two plays out of how many? How about the 53 yard bomb to Ginn when we played you guys last? We can pluck plays from lots of places and make them look compelling. Willie are we on for this game?
going to look up the weather at your stadium....Orchard Park right? No no wait wait......Giants Stdium right? god i can't wait.....i am so glad we get to play against you guys on an early scheduled game.
Well there's more film on him for Rex to use now. Don't be surprised when Rex does the same exact thing until the "Robot" can figure it out. I told you already - check your PM's.
Your joke just makes you sound dumb. Jets actually have been dominant at 1PM EST games, unfortunately for you.
You mean like this one? That is the only play of it's kind that Revis has given up all year. It was a fluke, just like your win on Monday Night. :finssuck:
No, you know sounds dumb? When you have to share a stadium in a professional setting with another team. That sounds dumb.
everyone keeps giving the jets shit because they share giant stadium like we arent currently building a new stadium. I think dolphins fans are just jealous that our stadium can fill up every week for either team and theres cant fill up without the help of the opposing teams fans.
Yeah, like the Lakers? A real downtrodden joke of a franchise there. I'd much rather be the Dolphins and have my own stadium full of empty seats and visiting fans every game.
Sort of like the Knicks and Rangers sharing MSG? Or Devils and Nets in the past sharing an arena. Or the Lakers sharing their arena. Or most cities with both a hockey and basketball team. Or the SF Giants sharing a field with the Niners.....and....etc......
I guess it's better than sharing w/ a MLB team and a college football team- especially since the marlins and 'Canes have been more successful.
