Braylon looked like a Jet veteran in the first game, I expect BE to have a huge game.

They should come out throwing, the Phins will not expect that at all.

i remember when the giants had both will allen and will peterson at the same time, and both were considered pretty good, young CBs, and it seemed warranted too, at the time.

what the hell happened to them after that?? failure to progress further??
and i know peterson changed his name to william james

i think it'd be best for us to have a run-heavy oriented gameplan, and key thing is that the line needs to get a good push so that our runs are successful. that way, we control ball/TOP, and if that hopefully puts some points on the board, the dolphags wouldn't want to use the clock-eating wildcat to try and catch up.

I agree that should be the overall gameplan, but the first series maybe a PA pass and throw a bomb to Braylon. I think that would be completely unexpected, and we can test their secondary right off the bat.

Mediocre corners can look pretty good when you have the best defensive line in the league.

Miami plays each corner on a certain side. Sean Smoth mans the LCB spot and Will Allen manned the RCB spot. Vontae played a lot of Nickel and subbed in for Sean Smith. If I had to guess, I would say Vontae will now line up in the RCB spot and Nathan Jones and Jason Allen will split time in the NB spot.

Yeah, use what should be an effective passing game to get the run going. Get some points in the air and then use the RBs to consume the clock.

no one would expect it considering the jets havent thrown many bombs all year, and certainly havent done it on the first series of a game in what the past 3 or 4 years?

The fins weakness on defense is their pass D. I think it would be a better idea to try and attack them through the air. The ideal situation is to build a big lead to take them out of the run game. If it's a close game they will continue to run on us and I don't see how we'll stop it.

agreed, but in order to put them behind early, we not only need to score, but we have to stop them from scoring. that will be harder than us scoring in the air i think.

we're cool with losing allen...we need our rookies to get some badly needed experience. i wouldn't want that experience against any other QB. sanchez is a rookie still...playing against our 2 rookie CBs....i call it even.

its more like their going up against two veteran WRs who run great routes. One, however, drops passes.

yeah but you need a veteran qb to really take advantage... we had a good game against sanchez last time. granted, edwards caught a few passes but i think this game we're bringing in more pressure. we got to brees a couple of times.....5 sacks.......3 ints....... why should we not expect the same from sanchez?

i could state the case of "trap game, coming off a bye blah blah blah" but its a weak argument.

I hold true to the fact that divisional games are a wierd unpredictable animal. People play differently. Sanchez had his best game against the Pats and his worst against the Bills.

    its odd stuff.

If Edwards has a good game, I'll call him a Dolphin killer. If not, I'm a little worried about his history with poor production on your average football Sunday.

Two rookie corners going up against a healthy Cotchery this time and an Edwards with more development with Sanchez.

    Ruh-roh says Miami.
