the run game is working great today.

Sanchez aired it out and had a nice TD.

But you get cutesy once again, and it backfires. You think you can outsmart everyone, and it ends up doing nothing.

When in the blue fuck will the OC, who i'm not going to name anymore, let his QB throw on a 3rd and 8 in the end zone? Just take a shot.

the INTs from the last few weeks don't bother me. he's a rookie. Build that confidence back up and let him sling the rock.

This is the kind of team I want to see Sanchez go after. You've got a 31pt. Take a shot at the end zone. dont be "clever" and go for a shovel pass.

that really annoyed me. Let the kid sling it.

This is bullshit. Sanchez literally threw away the last game because Schottenheimer provided him with so much rope to hang himself. There is no need to risk throwing a bad interception in a game the Jets lead 31-0 and fuck with his confidence.

Some Jets fans will literally always find something to whine about. They're up 38-0! Enjoy it for chrissake!

yeah, imo that's shotty's weakness. he tries to get cute.

having said that, sanchez still needs work on ball handling.

totally disagreed....jets slinging the rock in a 31 - 0 game is ridiculous and totally unecessary.

i actually think clemens should be in the game right now...no need to have mark on the field anymore.

I like the conservative play calling a lot better.

This. Like we don't have enough injuries we need to protect our players.

keep the playcalling conservative. run the ball behind one of the best OLs in the NFL. dont sling the ball or else MS will throw INTs.

do not lump me in with them.

i was calling out schotty for doing what he always does.

i loved the shutout. and running it all day was exactly what the gameplan called for.

but he puts it in sanchez's hands, and calls a shovel pass. A shovel pass? its kinda gay.

I thought that the Shovel Pass was banned since Bubby Punky Brister.

I had no problem with it, we were up so we try a different play or 2 and give the kid some experience. What I had a problem with is it shows hes still kinda sloppy on handling the ball. I would prefer finding that out up 31 pts than on a critical drive down 3 pts. The conservative plan worked well against a garbage team and should get Marks confidence up a bit, but there is no way this is gonna give us a W against better teams, especially with the questions about our defense right now. What was FAR more risky was the fake punt deep in our territory and I was fine with that too. We need to be less predictable and Rex is just that.

I liked Schotty's playcalling yesterday, it was a far cry from the abortion we saw in Buffalo. He committed to the run and kept to it, and used it to set up a few excellent downfield opportunities. He also played a short game marching down the field to eat the clock.

I'm going to bash the hell out of him in a day or 2 with my Buffalo breakdown, but I didn't see a ton of stuff to get up in arms about against Oakland. It was an efficient gameplan.

Its certainly a lot easier when the D is forcing turnovers and giving the Jets an early lead. Remember last weeks halftime lead was only 10 pts. Up by 24 this week , the plan to stick with the run was solid.
