Way to go Keels...Leon probably regrets having this guy as his agent today. He probably regrets signing that 5-5.5 million per year contract.
If Washington does not play another game this season the vale of his contact dips to probably 4 million.

    Good Job Keels

Everybody knew this guy was a jackass.... the fact that Leon kept him around after the awful contract Andre Smith signed IMO was poor decision by Leon. Ultimately it was on Leon and he gambled and now it's gonna cost him millions.

$4 million? A serious ankle injury to a player like Leon, try $2 million at BEST.

I hate to say it, but that's why the Jets were smart to resist the temptation to give into Washington and Keels' demands. Leon had no leverage in this situation, and he got totally screwed.

They are smart, but you hate it that it happens to a guy like Leon.

That must hurt his ego...Keels is probably crapping his pants now

Washington's probably my favorite Jet, so I definitely feel for him. But, as he's about to be reminded the next time his agents calls about that new contract, football is a business.

As long as it's not career threatening he'll still get a new contract but if he doesn't it's on leon not his agent. At the end of the day the player needs to be in control of his future.

Keels feels stupid. Actually, he's too stupid to feel stupid. He can join Master P at the failed agents' table.

I don't understand why anyone would use this guy as an agent. He's a fucking Clown

The Jets should offer Leon a deal with a stipulation being that he fires Keels.

Lucky it's not a knee injury. If it's a clean bone break then he'll have a much better chance of a full recovery.

Agreed, but Keels as agent/adviser needed to get him on board with it. Now Leon is most likely leaving a lot of money on the table he will never see which makes both of them look foolish. An agent getting burned too many times is not an agent for long.

Absolutely. As a smaller RB that is already 26, this should have been his biggest contract of his career. He did not make a lot of money from his 1st contract, and probably won't make much from his 2nd now that he is injured. He didn't sign the deal the Jets put on the table for a disagreement of ~$4 million over 4/5 years (roughly a million a year) and now it's probably going to cost him around $10 million

I'd bet the Jets offer the same deal as long as rehab is going fine.

What this does is guarantee he remains a Jet and puts the whole kabash on Keels pretending they deserve MDJ money
