I can't remember that from the Raiders game but it may have happened. I know the Bills' punter ran one up the right side on one play.
I'm not sure either, but I think the Raider game was the very next week after Buffalo and I think it happened again.
Believe me, we know who he is.... He is going to end up as one of the greatest punters in NFL history.....
Lechler has been the best punter in the league for YEARS, that being said, why is there a thread on him?
i think he was right the first time. seems nearly every matchup is in oakland. like 6 of the last 8 and 7 of 9 including this week...weird
Which is saying something. Now we have this thread praising Lechler, hes going to have 2 blocked punts for TDs now
If we don't know Lechler by now, why would we suddenly know him after this Sunday? Lechler was drafted in 2000 and has been an All-Pro. This will be the 10th Oakland vs Jets game since Lechler's been with the Raiders. What's next? A thread four weeks from now about how the Patriots have some QB named Tom Brady and that's he pretty good and we'll remember his name after the November 22 game?
Prior to 2002, the NFL schedule could be quirky. It's not as quirky anymore because a better scheduling formula has been in place. Jets-Raiders regular season games by location (includes Sunday's game)- at Titans/Jets- 18 at Raiders- 19 (17 in Oakland; 2 in Los Angeles) 37 regular season Jets-Raiders games including the upcoming one. A 19/18 split seems fair to me. There was once an 11-game stretch where 8 of the games were in NY/NJ. In the end, things are fair, but Jets fans like to complain about everything under the sun.
