so i live in westchester new york and wont get this game what the hell... now i have to watch it on the internet if i can find a stream that is..
On Sunday Ticket? I am fairly certain we will. Blackout Rules for Local Team Home Games A regular-season, Sunday afternoon home team game will be blacked out in a home team's territory if the game fails to sell out at least 72 hours before the game. If it is blacked out on your local broadcast station, it will also be blacked out in your area on NFL SUNDAY TICKET. Each stadium's local blackout area is defined by the broadcast signal of the local affiliate carrying the game, not by the mileage surrounding the stadium.
That's not true. Part of the problem is actually that California is the home to so many people born out of state. There are a ton of football fans here. The Raiders have a hard time drawing people to the stadium because of the environment that the fans create. I have a friend who's trying to get me to fly up tomorrow night to go to the game. My wife put her foot down because the last time we were there, I was threatened with a broken beer bottle. I have kids now, so it's out of the question as far as she's concerned. The Raiders have long had a problem drawing families like other teams do.
theres so much going on let me ask a clear cut question. I am trapped in FL, I go to a Jets bar here. will I not be able to watch the game there or what? DirecTV's schedule says its still broadcasting on channel 710
LOL Very funny Bro. I know plenty of Hard core Raiders and Charger fans. They just have zero to cheer about. The Tailgate at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum is the best I have ever been too. And I have tailgated almost everywhere, including Shea. They party big time. But their team has been bad for sooo long. No fan base could take that. Just think is Al Davis was our owner.
That is very true too. I live in San Jose and the guy next door to me is a Bills fan, how funny is that. I even brought him a T.O. Bootleg jersey as a joke, he loved it. I would never take my child with me to see the raiders, Its for drunk adults only! But I took the whole Family to see the JETS at the 49ners last year and that was nice. Too bad we lost.
Yeah, you'll get it. Wow, apparently I get the Jets game this week. Usually when the Jets conflict with the Bills I get the latter but I'm looking at the NFL Broadcast map and I'm in the blue. Sweet. http://the506.com/nflmaps/
Yeah, Candlestick is a great place to see a game, although it's also the site of my biggest personally witnessed gutpunch game in 98. After that game, the fans around us kept saying "Man, you guys just gave us quite the scare. That's one hell of a team you've got there. You're going to have a good season." I kept thinking "What the fuck are you being so nice for?" I always thought it was funny how different the Coliseum was between Raider games and A's games. We used to go watch the Yankees play and it's a completely different experience. No car vandalism, nobody getting jumped in the bathroom. Crazy!
Ugh. I hope not. I'm hoping for a team to come back to the area thanks to the stadium issue working itself out, but not that one.
Sunday Ticket won't pickup the local feed, but can you get different broadcasts?? I did hear that any blacked out games won't be aired on the ticket.
I've heard so many nightmare stories of people going to games up there, when I lived in San Diego so many Charger fans pretty much getting their lives threatened. I always thought it was a joke that most of the fan base is constituted of gangs and ex-cons but I really think it's true, lol
