Divisional games are a toss-up, always. The Bills have nearly beaten both the Jets and Patriots this year alone... Throwing in the towel at 3-3 makes no more sense than booking Super Bowl tickets at 3-0. You guys just need to chill and let the season play out. Nothing is set in stone for any team that's .500 at this point. There's a lot of football left to play...
LMAO, thanks! But with Edwards suffering a concussion, do you think Jauron is so mindless that he'll sign Losman again? I would go postal. I would put up a Billboard with DJ's address and the addresses to gun stores within a 5 mile radius.... EDIT: OK, maybe not that extreme.....
Ironically, with the BILLS living in the basement, even I haven't given up hope. I was at the BILLS-OILERS playoff comeback game. Even then I never gave up hope. Just have faith Gang Green, you guys are going to be good for awhile, you just have to live through the bumps in the road.
The bills always play the Jets tough. I bet the bills to beat the spread b/c i know the jets always either lose to the bills or barely win. This has been going on for 30 yrs like this. 2 old AFL franchises that almost always have close games. + the jets don't blow teams out. + its the NFL and everybody can win on a given sunday. All that said: the jets sucked on sunday. CS and QB Sucked and sucked alot. Thats how bad the bills are - the jets totally sucked and bills needed 6 INTS and numerous penalties to win the game in OT.
The BILLS also only gave up 13 points. Their D won them the game, ironically, while giving up over 300 on the ground. Bend don't break D. More like heart attack D.
Yeah sure enough they gave up just 13 pts, but that was mainly due to the 6 picks. With 6 picks, it should have been a shut down, but I guess TJ and Leon made the Bills look miserable as well. Basically, Bills sucked yesterday by not winning the game in regulation, and the Jets sucked just a little bit more by losing to such a team. If Feely had gotten a chance to kick the FG and made it, the NFL would have been all about the Jets and how their D played and how much poise Sanchez showed on that drive (that never took place). Since the Jets lost, it makes us both look miserable. Thanks Hartsock!
And if Lindell made the FG at the end of regulation, we wouldn't be talking about Feely getting a chance to kick in OT. Let's face it, both teams played flat, the BILLS played less flat. I still see both teams competing for the AFC East crown.
You are delusional man! Did you really just say that we, the Bills, are going to compete for the AFC East crown? You do know that Trent Edwards just had his 2nd concussion in the last year, and the guy who replaced him barely completed 40% of his passes right? You do know we have like 5 key players on IR right? Cmon man give it up, right now it is all about looking for bright spots for next season. The head coach, and starting QB for the Buffalo Bills in 2010 were not on the sideline yesterday, and the players that havent been sidelined yet due to injury are not nearly good enough to lead this team to a 8-2 record to end the season and make the postseason.
I say that because with the Offense looking beyond pathetic this year, not only did we win two games, but we were competitive in 3 of the 4 losses. The OL needs time to gel, and they looked pretty good yesterday. The BILLS don't need and Favre-esque type QB, just one that can get the ball to the playmakers. Fitz seemed to be willing to do it more than Trent.
It sure did. If I was a Bills fan, I wouldn't be too optimistic right now even after the win. You won't be getting 6 interceptions in every game. Thats the reality. It was one of the worse game I have seen in a long time. Maybe your 6-3 loss last wk was even worse, but I didn't watch it and won't comment about it. Nevertheless, congrats on your win and I hope Bills can post a respectable season (afterall, draft positions are determined based on the record). I hope they get rid of Dick and TO. TO looked awful. He dropped about 3-4 catches. Sure enough he was covered by a top 3 CB in the NFL, but TO himself is a top 10 WR to say the least. At least before 2009 he was.
that's right, you never know....... miami controlled the ball against the colts for 45 fucking minutes! they played a solid game and still lost easily to manning.
miami refused to throw the towel in at 0-3... you're 3 games ahead of that and seriously can't be thinking about calling it a season. you only need to come in 2nd place in your division to have a good chance of making a wild card.
