I'm glad he's gone too, he could go 16-0 with the Vikings and I'll still be glad, because he'll eventually end their season with a bad pick or picks like he's ended every other season since 1996. I'll take my chances with a rookie who wants to be here.
Wait a minute...it's okay for you guys to defend Tom Brady, but when someone is defending Favre they're not Jets fans?!?!?!?!
Teams were bringing Vinny back off his couch up until a year or two ago. At least Vinny works out in the off season.
Defending a guy who has won three Super Bowls and gone 16-0 in this decade from ridiculous nit-picking is different than celebrating and gloating over another team's win while the Jets have lost three in a row. I don't know a single real Jet fan who would be the least bit happy for Favre or even give a shit about him after the way he ended last season with us.
if that's how you read what i wrote then there is nothing more i can say. you have your opinion and i have mine.
If it weren't for Favre we'd still be stuck with the weak armed egg shell on IR and a douche of a coach in Mangini. Now we at least have hope in Sanchez and Ryan.
Considering the point of the thread was his comeback victory and all you've done is trash Favre in here, I'm gonna stick with my assumption.
Please. You guys go on and on about Brady...Should we question your loyalty to the Jets? It never crossed my mind before, but considering the criteria is to not applaud other great players in the league I'm starting to wonder. I was going to buy a John Elway throwback jersey because he was my favorite QB growing up. Do I need to have my Jets fandom questioned?
I think Favre is a great QB...and i'm glad he was here last year..despite everything. If anybody thinks I'm less of a Jets fan because of that....can go f*ck themselves in the ass.
the point of the op wasn't to give him credit for some fine play yesterday, it was for "another" comeback.........."meanwhile"........the jets were getting beat. your like a QB that locks on a receiver and misses the bigger picture. context willie, context. if the point was just the come back victory then the op would have said something like "congrats to favre for playing great....etc".
I believe you're the one missing the context. Try again. Maybe IS can help you out. Also, this was created after the Miserable loss, not during.
Defending and rooting for are two different things. I hate Brady but if we're talking football his record speaks for itself, we'll talk facts. That's different than coming on here after another miserable Jet game and seeing the same poster blathering on every week about the great Favre beating up on the Lions or whoever in a fucking dome of all things. We saw how great he did in the AFC East--9-7 and third place in a division that was missing Brady and was won by an "egg shell" in our own house. On the bright side, Willie, I found you a Christmas present, will just need your size and get it right out to you:
I'll take a large. Playing in the AFCE had nothing to do with his shitty play down the stretch. We lost to teams like the seahawks and niners who were terrible last year. His last two comeback victories were against the Ravens and niners who are playing much better this year. The main purpose of my post is to try and get people (yourself included) to acknowledge the fact that he's playing well. Everyone wants to hate him and say he sucks. Hate him all you want, but he doesn't suck.
