His team was just embarassed at home by one of the worst teams in the NFL, asnd has slipped to 3-3 after a damn fine start. His QB looks like a eer in the headlights. His OL is regressing. His defense is playing soft.

The time is now, Rex. You wanted to be the HC of the NYJ. Now show why you were hired, and fix this thing.

Personally, I believe he can fix this. This team, just as they aren't as good as they showed in the first two weeks, is not as bad as they showed yesterday. There is enough talent on this roster to win. Sanchez is a good enough QB right now to win with. This can be done.

Roll up your sleeves and get to it, Rex.

I agree w/ most but how is the OL regressing? We are finally starting to run the ball the last 2 weeks and our QB has had plenty of time to throw the football. The Ol is probably playing the best of any unit on our team now.

We just can't lose to Oakland. We just can't. They are practically the worst team in football. Yes, Rex must fix this thing.

Talk about your "moments"... The Oakland game is THE MOMENT of the Jets 2009 season. So far not so good. The fan base is slowly turning a skeptical eye towards Von Ryan's Express and if things don't turn around quickly, you might start to see some of the players stop buying into it as well.

This team has to take a stand at some point to save their season if not their collective mentality. It isn't just the Oakland game, its the season on the line. Bye week or no, if this team loses against Oakland, the season is done and they should be looking at what can be salvaged from it. There will be no payback against the Dolphins and there just might be a royal ass kicking waiting for us up at Foxboro too.

Rex, your team is rapidly running out of time in 2009. Like Tony said, put on your best Knute suit and get this team motivated.

I say start Clemens. I still believe Sanchez is our future but he has now cost us two games. Was suprised after he threw 4 INTS he didn't get pulled and was left in to throw yet another when he could of took off for 10 yards before anyone even touched him.. It looked like 3 of his INTS were thrown because he had an invisible forcefield that would not let him scramble and forced a throw instead. After the Titans game I guess the coaching staff crippled him.

Start Clemens, its the best thing for the kid right now.

They will. They can't travel out west. Raiders are coming off a good win against the Eagles.

Rex needs to slap some sense into Schotty. I can't remember how many times I yelled, "Why are we throwing the ball?" yesterday.

Ridiculous to start Clemens... as of training camp, with 4 years of experience in this offense, Clemens was unable to win the job. This OL and running game is good enough to shelter a young QB like Sanchez. I'd rather see him get the experience and stay in the games. It's the best thing for him if he's going to mature and grow into a good QB. They just need to temper how much they expect him to do and work on some of his fundamentals.

    *******************

I don't see any issues with the OL and the running game. The defense was playing pretty good for the most part all season. The real issue is going to end up being Jenkins. His injury has him out for significant time and it is likely the defense is going to crumble. Hopefully Rex can manage to find a way to plug that void by Jenkins.

The jets are just an average team playing in a really competative division. The Pats and Fins are clearly a little bit better for this season. The jets fans and media have a way of taking any kind of positive sign and turning it into superbowl deserving performance.
Its a long season, just let the games play out and see how it all shakes out.
Rex ryan will turn out that he is a good defensive coordinator...just like his dad.
The jets have their QB, but they still do not have their head coach.

Jets have all the talent in the world.......Yet our offensive coordinator just doesnt get it.....he would rather try and be pretty. And I just dont get our pass rush.....last year at one point we were leading the league in sacks with manginis defensive schemes.......Are Rex Ryans blitzes really that great?

Can we stop saying "this team and that team" are the worst in football. Got news for you, Oakland is a black hole for the Jets and the Raiders are now riding high after their win over the Eagles.

Sanchez will feel better in the California sun, but the Jets need to come out and get up on this team quickly. The Jets definitely showing a choking tendency late in these game.s

Rex has made as many coaching mistakes as Sanchez has made playing mistakes.
We can't judge this thing right now but the 3 wins to start the season are what really set us up for this thing hurting as bad as it does.
We saw this defense just exploding on teams and it gave us a feeling that we have arrived.
    We certainly HAVE NOT.
