Bash me if you want, but Mr. Sanchise has a fumbling problem.

He has coughed up the football in 5 out of 6 games (the only game he didn't was the Miami game in which he was sacked only once) and has a total of 6 fumbles so far in 6 games. Does he have small hands? We may have a Mexican Daunte Culpepper as our wonderful QB of the future.

Also consider Sanchez's penchant for throwing completions to the other team (10 INT's and counting), and we have our own version of Jake Delhomme, minus the Super Bowl appearance. His turnovers are killing us. We might have won today if only he had thrown 4 INT's instead of 5. If he doesn't turn the ball over at all, we blow the Bills out of the water. And last Sunday, the defense keeps the Saints Offense in check -- something the Giants failed to do today, and it wasn't even close -- only to have Sanchez give the game away.

I know he's a rookie, and I believe (or at least hope) he will improve overall as he develops, but this is one department in which guys, historically, don't change much.

He actually has quite large hands, I believe. IDK. All we can do is wait and hope he improves. I still see lots of talent and the possibility of having that it factor - although he certainly has not shown any it factor recently. He needs to get his confidence back big time.

Fumbling problem, small hands, weak arm. I guess after 6 games you have concluded that Sanchez is a complete bust. I bet both Mannings, Aikman, Elway, Bradshaw and many other SB winning QBs who struggled their rookie years are glad you weren't the decision maker on whether they were good enough for the NFL. How about we give it a year or two before we bury or lable this kid. If you expected something else from a rookie QB, you were just ignorant.

Dude, the OP never once labeled him a bust. You're so defensive about Sanchez. I'm not giving up on him, in fact, I still have complete faith in his ability as a qb. But he HAS fumbled a lot and he has thrown a lot of picks. Those are facts. He hasn't played well in 2 of the 5 games...in fact, he's been awful in 2 of them. That's not bad, he's played well in 3 of them! But that doesn't mean you ignore the negatives.

Those guys are absolutely awful comparisons, especially Peyton Manning, since Peyton threw for 26 TD 28 INT and for over 3700 yards on an awful team. The INTs are not the problem really, just they are a problem by themselves. You want to have around 1:1 TD to INT ratio as a rookie, and then after that improve it to around 2:1 or better if you can get it there, although even 1.5:1 is solid. You also want to throw for more yardage, although as a rookie you're given a bit of a pass on yardage totals...just again, terrible comparison to Peyton who was really good right from the start.

A better comparison would be Flacco except Flacco never threw 5 INTs in one game. That's the problem, 5 INTs is just too much, it's hard to find a good rookie QB that threw that many in one game.

I don't feel like looking at all the other QBs you mentioned, although quite a few are a different era. If you feel I'm being unfair then post up their game logs or something.

Also Sanchez actually has big hands. He does have a fumbling problem and a weak arm it looks like. The fumbling problem I don't remember any of those other QBs having. That's actually absolutely ridiculous that he has that problem and it wasn't corrected 5 games ago.

Jones knocked the ball out of his hands. Think it was in Q4.

I think we are at the making shit up stage... when we've bled so much that we are delirious and mixing performances into one big roll of suck.

Yeah, no matter how well you are coached, it is pretty hard to tell a QB, "Oh, and watch out after you take the snap because you may be hit by your own player; protect the ball from guys on your own team."

His main problem of throwing to the other team, is a tad bit more troubling.

Sanchez dropped back to pass and Jones bumped into his arm and knocked the ball out as he was stepping up to block.
