You can look at all of my posts from this season. I blamed the scheme, not TJ. If you run him straight into a defensive tackle, of course he won't do much. Get him some holes or run him off the edge and he will rack up yards in the open field.
TJ lacks explosiveness to the hole. The Buffalo team defense is decimated. Jones is a good back, but Shonn Greene has explosiveness. I would work the kid in against this team.
I still think TJ has dramatically lost a step. Unless it's perfect blocking, he goes down immediately after contact. That hasn't changed in this game.
if that's the case then how is it that the coaching staff doesn't understand that? its not like they want him to fail. he's just not a top shelf back. he often looks like a skinnier ron dayne, dives into the turf with no second effort. although he's certainly not as bad as dayne, who used to look like the ball made him top heavy, like they handed him an anvil instead of a football.
It's unreal how many people think they are avid, knowledgeable football guys, but when they decide to discuss it, they show they they are no different that the 8 year olds watching where the ball starts and where it ends up between whistles. I wish I was a Mod.
Jones caught plenty of short passes in the last two years. If you think the coaching staff has used him properly this year, look at how many times he has been targeted this year. Five targets in the first five games.
Fred Jackson is a RB... he gets 4-5 yds after contact... TJ is a pre-OL ballerina :S a guy who has almost always been a starter for 10 yrs and has never run more than 60yds, on a single run, in his career sucks...
Jones will be off this team at the end of the year. Then what? We have 4000 threads ala Pennington for the next 10 years?

he had a good game 2 huge runs totaling 130yards ish and then another 75ish yards from other carries. Id take that any game.
