The winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers have traded defensive end Gaines Adams to the Chicago Bears for a second-round pick in the 2010 draft.

Adams was the fourth overall pick in the 2007 draft out of Clemson. He had 13 1/2 sacks in two-plus seasons with the Bucs, failing to play up to expectations that he'd help restore a once-tenacious pass rush.

In five games this season, Adams had 14 tackles and one sack. Stylez G. White likely will fill the opening in the lineup when the Bucs face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Rookie coach Raheem Morris singled out the 6-foot-5, 258-pound defensive end on the opening day of training camp, saying Adams would be considered a "bust" if he didn't post double-digit sacks this season.

And this is why the Bucs are winless. Morris is in way over his head as a HC.

Geez...not so sure this was a wise move by the Bucs.

This kid had 13 somewhat sacks over 3 seasons and is considered a bust? What the hell would they consider Gholston, a big steaming pile of garbage?

By his standards, Gholston would have been cut outta training camp...

I actually find more interesting that the guy who will be replacing him is named Stylez G. White. World B. Free approves.

Yeah, Greg legally changed his name to Stylez about a year ago. Another guy who did that was Mark Kirby Dupas. His name is now Mark Super Duper.

^not to be outdone by my man ochocinco.

Tampa ownership are in way over their heads overseas and this is another blatant move to trim any excess fat off the roster. Glazers are ruining the Bucs in a completely different way than Al Davis is crippling the Raiders. And Raheem Morris wouldn't be allowed to coordinate for Eric Mangini, though I found out today that his first job was as a low-level assistant for the Jets...I'm guessing during Hermnation.

Randal Thrill Hill is another one of those name changes. I believe he legally changed his middle name to Thrill during his first or second season in the NFL.

trust me this guy is a bust. I watched him in college and hes just extremely pedestrian in comparison to where he should be.

the guy played 4-3 DE his whole career in clemson, one of the best pass rushers while he was in the NCAA.

played in the 4-3 with the bucs and cant get seperation to save his life let alone pressure.

now i dunno if its coaching or the system, or just straight up, the player himself.

its true the glazers are gutting the team out and only spending money on Manchester United, but Gaines Adams loss will not be felt.

That being said the Bears have former Bucs DL coach, so maybe theres something to it there.

He has bad technique, doesn't play the run well at all and has no motor, the Bucs got something for him while they still could
