    Westy

    On Punts and Punt Returns
    • they have worked Weatherford and Leonhard a lot in windy conditions this week
    • Weatherford improving, had outstanding day yesterday in high wind
    • Leonhard doing well adjusting to wind

    On Feely
    • 'tremendous respect for him'
    • works exceptionally hard
    • admits when he makes mistakes
    • great technique
    • very tough football player
    • probably the best tackling kicker in the NFL
    • 'He's like a safety'
    • gets a lot of respect from other players for tough play

On Brad Smith injury effecting STs
    • Larry Izzo, Eric Smith and possibly Jimmy Leonhard can fill in on spot duty to fill the many roles Brad Smith plays on STs while he is out with injury

    Pettine

On Jets' defensive struggles to gets sacks/apply pressure to QB the past 2 games
    • doesn't think the Jets will have one player with a high number of sacks this year due to the varying pressure packages they run
    • Pace is best edge rusher on the squad
    • biggest problem with Miami in rushing the passer was Jets didn't get them in enough 3rd and long situations to force pressure passes

On TO and Buffalo Bills' offensive struggles
    • O-line struggles are the reason the Bills' passing game is failing

On Calvin Pace's lack of performance on MNF
    • rusty technique from time off was main reason for his ineffectiveness
    • CP had a couple of glaring mistakes but nothing else couldn't be fixed quickly

    On the Ginn TD
    • pretty much put it on Rhodes without saying his name
    • Revis stayed with him until he broke inside and was passing him off to safety support when Ginn broke loose

On how the D is dealing the loss on MNF
    • back to basics on defense this week
    • defeating blocks
    • making solid tackles
    • humbling experience on defense
    • may look back have been the best thing that happened to them...

    On inactivity from Jamaal Westerman
    • westerman was inactive mostly because numbers game due to secondary injuries, offense injuries
    • they want to get him up this week to be more involved as a pass rusher

    Schotty

    On addition of Braylon Edwards
    • had big advantage due to system similarities
    • hard worker
    • more comfort with the system and he will be moved around a lot more in different situations
    • the play BE remembers most was the drop in the EZ
    • would have gone more conservative without BE on the field against MIA

Concerning injuries to Cotch and Smith

    Wright
    • named specifically when asked about J-Co and B. Smith injuries
    • possible starter on Sunday?
    Clowney
    • learned his lesson from Rex
    • becoming more complete player
    • he will start getting the ball more
    • earlier lack of playing time was more about that he was missing the 'little things' that he had to clean up during practices to earn playing time, not really about Twitter

    On Keller
    • was doubled on key 3rd down attempts against MIA
    • hasn't been as productive as last season in passing game but has become a 'better player'

Leon's on lack of effectiveness with increased carries

    • he's been 'close' here and there but missing key blocks to break him loose
    • is confident that Leon will start breaking long runs eventually, probably soon

Hope this all pans out. I know it is early in the year, but I would clasify the Buffalo game as a must win if this team is serious about anything.

Schotty makes the offense sound nearly elite. Its the little things.

The last line on Clowney basically states the man wasn't being mature enough and not working hard enough while learning to master his position.

The OL better get their shit together for LW.

The defense is fine, but the CBs better get healthy so that Westerman can see the field and not Gholston.

On paper, this is shaping up to be a very challenging game for Sanchez:

    - Bad weather
    - #1 WR has only been on roster for a week.
    - Smith and JCo. out
    - Inexperienced WW or Woodhead to fill in.

that new WR was here for 4 days before he caught a TD pass, made an amazing catch that led to a TD and drew a penalty that put the Jets at the 6. I don't care that he's been here 10 days. he can get it done.

I'm not sure how much this one is going to hurt Sanchez. Given the instant chemistry they had in Miami, I think that Keller is going to be hurting the most for looks.

Keller is going 5+ for 90+ and a score. Schottchez will be looking for him early and often.

Sanchez has been ignoring Keller up through now. He has said that he needs to look for Keller more often but unless Keller is his 1st or 2nd read, Sanchez is probably going to continue doing the same.

Also, what the fuck is this?
Are Schotty and Sanchez fucking? Are they the new hot couple? Is he going to propose? This shit isn't clever and this one sounds dumber than "Tangini".

I can see Keller having a moderate game, 4 or 5 catches for like 60 yards and a TD, but the key to this game is definitely the Clown, try and give him a shot down field and try and get a TD, open up the running game

Hm. Okay, you're tougher than me.

Anyway, yeah, I'm familiar with Sanchez's inability to find a rhythm with Keller. We all know what Keller can do, and we've all heard the powers that be, Schott and Sanchez, talking this week about concerted efforts to get Keller more involved.

So... that was the basis for my prediction.

I deeply apologize to you and your loved ones for the obvious pain I caused by forming a playful portmanteau from the names Sanchez and Schottenheimer. Next time I won't be so stupid and offensive. Please forgive me.

Interested to see Wallace Wright get some snaps, see what he can do.

We have just 3 healthy WR's going this Sunday?

Okay, but can we agree NOT to see "Love Happens"? I've seen it too many times.

Or I guess I could see it again if you haven't. Actually, I keep picking up new things every time I see it.

Once this offense starts to settle in with each other they will really be explosive.
Sanchez obviously will get better as the season progresses and once they all get on the same page WATCH OUT!
I think on defense it's easier to jell with each other then on offense.
Offense is all timing. Defense is more individual,IMO. You do your job i do my job and it all works out.
On offense the QB and the WR's & Rb's all need to be in sync with each other or things can go horribly wrong.

every week it seems like keller has an amazing matchup, and he never posts the big numbers. it's quite annoying, considering the talent he has.

I heard something about this a few days ago on SNY too. At this point, JW can make an impact and has progressed much quicker too. I was hoping they would start investing more time with him as it looks like hes got a good future here. I guess the window for VG is closing quickly. Hes one expensive back-up though.........
