You make it sound like anyone else thought Arizona was going to the SB... they were a great Cinderella story, but the clock hit midnight during that SB. NFC teams can't compete with the AFC teams. It's that simple. NYJ also don't have a crafty veteran like Kurt Warner who has been there and done that. Mark Sanchez is playing lights out for a rookie, but that's the measuring stick. To think he is on the level of the veteran QB of this league is wrong. He's played mediocre defenses so far and will continue to do so from here on out. The post-season is a different story, if you can make it that far.
Hey you never know, and to be honest are chances of us going to a Superbowl are far greater then the wackass Phins, and I find that to be bullshit that you think your team is bigger faster and stronger then us lets be serious, way to judge from one game, and to be honest you guys are overrated as shit and you will continue to go no-where with the wildcat offense, when's the last time the Dolphins won a game with your pro offense, oh wait that's right you went 1-15 that year. Ouch. You tell me the last time some bullshit offense like the ones you run won a Superbowl, I couldn't tell you Preparation in the NFL is EVERYTHING, on any given Sunday the biggest of underdogs can beat the best team in the NFL with proper preparations, I feel that the Jets weren't fully prepared for the wildcat offense, CS didn't think Chad Henne could beat us at all and you got the leg up on us, Dolphins played with more aggression and more passion, they clearly wanted the game more than us, 3 weeks all that can change we may be the better team that week and you guys may be the ones that aren't "bigger, faster and stronger" are you going to use the denial excuse then? I'm thinking you will when we kick the shit out of the Dolphins in the Meadowlands, but for now we have to worry about the Bills, good luck against Drew Brees shitting on your secondary, that's going to be great
Whose fault is that? This is the NFL. You're supposed to be prepared every time you take the field, right? If you go back and listen to the comments being made by your coach and some of the players prior to the game, you guys gave us no chance at all of winning the game. All that talk about we haven't seen as physical a team as the Jets and others things. Selling Wolf Tickets. They knew that they had to be ready to play just like Miami did..... Again, whose fault is that? You're right because we didn't think that your team would just roll over for us due to comments that were being made to the media. We knew that we would have to ball in order to win the game...
Yeah that's why I blamed the loss solely on the coaching staff and their inability and or dumbness at the time to prepare the team for that type of offense that's all i'm saying, as much as I hate the Dolphins and I hate them with a passion I wish they would roll over and die, but they had a better gameplan then us, they knew if the wildcat was successful they would run it most of the time, CS idk what they were trying to prepare for, that's honestly what I don't understand, as of late the Jets have had success against the Dolphins (cept for the finale last season) the fact of the matter is we need to take everyone seriously. But don't downplay the Jets as being soft cause were definitely not soft, you take a look at how bad we fucked up Tom Brady in week 2, I don't call that soft, I feel that at times in this division we only take The Pats seriously cause we want to get pay back for what they have done over the past decade, if we could only use that aggression against everyone and not just the Pats. Maybe the loss will show us that we have to take EVERYONE seriously. Honestly I just hate the Phins man, ever since that fucking fake spike
The Jets have used the same offense since 2006 if I am not mistaken. You call it the Seminole. We have used the Wildcat every game since the first Patriots game last season. Why wouldn't you prepare for it? Your team knew that we would use it. I just think that it was over confidence. Ryan felt that he did a good job against it last year with the Ravens and that he would be able to do the same thing with the Jets. The problem with that is that things have changed since last year. Ryan has a new team with different players and Miami has different players in the mix as well. We ran the Wildcat for 25% of our plays. That is hardly most of the time in my opinion. Even when we were in our base offense we had success against the Jets defense. Again, over confidence. Your team talked themselves into believing all of the hype that had been going around about the team. Bad move.... I don't think you can find anything with me saying that the Jets are soft. Well, Ryan's pudgy butt is soft without a doubt! If you have ever played sports at any level, one of the main things that keeps getting preached is not to overlook anyone. I kind of feel like the Dolphins were not taken seriously this last game and you guys got bit in the rear.... That is a good one and one of my favorites! The one from the Jets that I hate the most is the catch by Wesley Walker, on a Monday night game I think, that caused us to lose. That was a classic battle between our two teams where I think that we scored around 90 points combined. This rivalry of ours is fierce!
The bills. They still got a beast of receivers with T.O and LEE EVANS and they could possibly destroy the jets secondary.
They could also be on dancing with the stars after this season too. Not too worried about our secondary...
I hate the seminole, we should be running a pro offense all the time, I can't stand when Shotty does that, and when he does I question his decision making, and he may have the scheme but he has to fit the personnel in order to do that, i'm sure Rex will come up with something, as you guys continue to expand the Wildcat Jets got a heavy dose of it on the first drive I believe, in total you guys ran it for over 100 yards, including really us getting no gains on the play or loss of yards, you guys were able to get positive yardage, we couldn't tackle and they were breaking those for longer gains and hopefully Rex and the Jets learned their lesson, it will only make him a better coach and this team a better team at the end of the day, big dose of reality Rex is pretty fat, he never did lose that weight he said he was gonna lose in training camp, now he just seems fatter, but when we played the Phins again i'm seeing a different outcome, Sanchez to Edwards is going to do much more work that time around as well as this defense Yeah the fake spike took the Jets right into a dark abyss, it's nice to see were out of that funk, but granted our rivarly is as pure and great as any rivarly in the NFL today, extremely intense and always down to the wire, especially on MNF, I hate the fins but I love the battles, hopefully we see more Sanchez and Henne battles in the future
I'll save ya a seat right next to mine Big Bro so that we can talk smack at each other and shake hands afterwards!
maybe someone should create a thread to discuss what the fuck a "gimmick" play means. for me, i think a gimmick play: 1. must possess complete surprise and is NOT expected 2. must be run under very specific circumstances 3. always has risk of significant negative consequence 4. must be executed in a unique, unconventional way all 4 conditions must be true. by my conditions, the Wildcat is NOT a gimmick because it doesn't surprise anyone, everyone knows the Dolphins are going to run it. the Wildcat is run under passing and running situations and doesn't require any specific circumstance to be true. running the wildcat and failing to work for one play does not produce signficantly heavy consequences. additionally, it is not an unconventional formation if it's been run for 1.5 years already and is a formation that exists in every offensive coordinator's formation (wing formation). the jet's fake punt is a partly gimmick but it is not because it was not executed in a way that was unique and unconventional. now had the the punter ran, lateraled it back to someone and that someone passed it to someone else...that would be unconventional. rex ryan's defensive scheme is also not gimmicky because it is expected under blitzing situations. so as long as it is expected, it cannot be a gimmick play. my two cents.
even miami's secondary slapped these bitches around...jets will have no problem embarassing the bills' passing game. blitz trent edwards all day. :bills_suck:
Hehe, I just read on a rumor site that shall remain nameless that the Bills are about to abandon the no-huddle offense.
Definition of gimmick: 1. a. A device employed to cheat, deceive, or trick, especially a mechanism for the secret and dishonest control of gambling apparatus. b. An innovative or unusual mechanical contrivance; a gadget. 2. a an important feature that is not immediately apparent b an ingenious and usually new scheme or angle c a trick or device used to attract business or attention I'm sick of reading about this crap so you be the judge. Is it a gadget play, I don't care??? In the end who cares, really? Fake punts are special teams plays, and are rarely run let alone twice in 1 game. They saw something exposed and took advantage of it and disguised the play as a punt, so yeah that's a gimmick.
Miami's D played bad as well, giving up 140 yards rushing. If you Jets don't get that BS PI call and a couple of "gimmick" fake punts, that game could have been at least a two score win. We shall see which Jets team shows up when Miami comes to town.
