English is the official language of the USA, and it likely always will be. With that said, the vast majority of people in the AMERICAS do not speak English at all, and never have. No need to surrender, just use a few more of your neurons every now and then. :up:

...in the 1950's and earlier ALMOST everybody in the south was a party to lynchings..didn't make it right... we don't condone it because it's popular.. we don't have a holiday here for emancipation day, but Columbus day is a holiday. Thankfully, the schools have started to end the crazed madness of teaching our kids that columbus "discovered America"
I'm hoping you at least got the sarcasm from my post... Of course it wasn't right, but singling out Columbus isn't really fair when you view the big picture. The actions of Columbus directly resulted in Spanish colonization of the "new world", creating the Americas. So in essence, he did in fact discover America. Just about every square inch of this planet was originally inhabited by another culture, which in turn was annihilated or at best displaced by a different culture. The majority of humans are sick ass greedy douche bags when left to their own devices. Always have been and likely always will be.

See post #26. I lived in San Diego...I LOVE the Spanish culture...I have traveled to Mexico and I love their beaches/food/culture. I was just crabby this morning because we lost a game that I thought we would have won by a landslide. :finssuck:
