The question you first have to ask is, will Chad ever go back to his old form? I think the answer is easily no. So to answer your question, NO.

"IF" Penny can play then I think anything is possible. I am hoping to see improvement in the form of 3 to 4 more wins this year. I don't think thats unreasonable.

My biggest wish for the season though .... is for other Jets fans to have a bit of patience if we struggle a bit. New FO, HC, OC, DC, a rebuilt O-line that most likely will have 2 rookies, a new defense ... Martin and Penny coming off of surgery.

With all that though ... in my gut I think we can be much improved. What I like the most is the FO having a plan and a seemingly unbending approach to putting in action. I think they went a long way this off-season and in the draft to make it what they envision. Could be a steep learning curve however. We will just have to wait and see.

Chad has been bad for a lot longer than he has been good... I really wouldn't cound on him being any good this year after his second sugery.

Nah haha, but I appreciate the idea. I think I will be like MisterMoss and just stick with the name. Everyone is used to this one.

    Ramsey

I'd still rather see Ramsey starting. He has the tools and the attitude.

Chad has been hurt more than he has been good, but he hasn't ever been bad. there is a difference.

the overwhelming criticism of Chad has always been arm strength and injuries, I don't know where you get the idea that he has ever been a bad quarterback.

Admittedly I haven't seen much of him, but hes got a strong arm, he can make the throws. Hes a tough guy and a competitor. I'd like to have someone with the physical tools behind center.

IF Chad was completely healthy and played the way he did before the injuries normally i would say yea we can make the playoffs. But honestly even if he does it would be extremely tough especially with Miami on the rise. The AFC has too many good teams for a average team to make it.

Spurier's system and Gibbs dis messed with his head, but I think he has the tools to be good. We'll see. Either I'll be right or you guys can have another good laugh at my expense.

If he is just close to his 2002 form, of course. Thats a big IF though.

Make what throws? He's INT prone, couldn't even hold the job in Mark Brunell's 1st year when Mark was absolutely horrible.

Face it bro...Ramsey is nothing more than a solid backup, even that's pushing it...Tulane QB's suck. King-Ramsey-Losman.

Then we'd best hope that Penny is ready because Clemens won't be yet.

This reminds me of when Vinny came back from the Achilles injury. Just kept hoping and wishing for '98.

IMO, Chad will never return to his 2002 form because teams (more specifically the Raiders) figured him out and it's been all downhill since. Since his skills are limited it's been hard for him to adjust. He can come back and be a decent starter if fully healthy, but I wouldn't ever expect 2002 again.
