Now that Crabtree has finally signed with the Niners (for pretty much the same as he was refusing to sign for weeks ) has anyone read any reports as to whether this is felt likely to impact on the investigation into the Jets for alleged tampering? I can see that if they had lost Crabtree or similar them being a lot more pissed and minded to pursue the whole tampering thing more and to push the league to do the same. Will this thing just fizzle out now or do you think the NFL will still look into it the same? As an aside, on PFT they reported that the Edwards trade only happened because Crabtree signed and that the Jets were hanging on to see if they could do a deal there and when they couldnt moved for Edwards.
Apparently Michael T has said that Rules state that an unsigned Pick can not be dealt after Sept 17. I think the crabtree ship sailed after that. I think it will fizzle out unless Crabtree tells the niners something. As for the timing of the Edwards deal. I think with the game the guy out of Georgia had for the browns, the heat mangini has been getting and Edwards supposed punch of Lebron's friend just made him easier to be dealt.
That's because PFT is a never-ending joke. The trade couldn't happen for Crabtree at this point, so that's not the reason the Jets pulled the trigger on Edwards. Maybe they did it because they knew they wouldn't lose any picks for tampering any more, but even that's a stretch.
I think that Crabtree never show nothing in the NFL...Edwards will be fine with our coaching staff and the Jets
