so excited to see this monday night game. I just hope braylon realizes that now he is no longer bigger then the team and do stupid shit. Because Bart Scott and Kris Jenkins will rip his head out
Tanny has been awesome. not afraid to pull off the big moves. True they gotta fix this leon deal, but i feel like not a few months go by without a giddy gm hosting a press confrence
+1. The locker room tone is one of no ones bigger then the team and its not like Braylon can come in here and say well this is what i do because he was doing it on an 0-4 team. I think hes going to come in here fired up to contribute and if he doesn't i fully expect bart, david and the other big leaders on the Jets defense to get on his ass about it.
Yeah, I have even less trepidation about the trade and Brylon's attitude thanks to overall locker room chemistry and a few badass veterans around to keep his ass in line. I just can't wait 'til he shoots himself in the foot following our second SB victory.
I don't expect much from him this Monday night, and that's okay. He'll probably be running pretty simple routes. If anything, he'll most likely be more of a decoy to free up Cotch, Keller, and Leon because I don't see how he can possibly absorb a tenth of the playbook in the next 4 days.
Tanny's quotes are nice, but I prefer Rex's. http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/tag/_/name/braylon-edwards-trade
For anyone interested, SNY seems to be showing Tanny's interview right now from earlier. Also, it looks like they will show Ryan's presser on the trade as well.
Mike T. can say whatever he wants. Unfortunately, the decision will be made by Schotty and Rex in what they see from Edwards during practice this week. If he's all over the place, I doubt he's in for more than a couple of plays. If he grasps the game plan quickly, he'll be out there.
SNY is also going to have Braylon on at 4PM for those who are able to watch. I'm definitely interested in what he's gonna say.
Considering Rex's treatment of Clowny when he simply mentioned dissapointment with not getting enough catches in the Pats game, I think it's a safe assumption that Rex will not put up with any "me-first" crap from Edwards.
I believe the tone has already been set by the veterans in the locker room, besides considering how Scott has taken on the role as the voice of the team. Edwards can focus on doing his job and learn the playbook and at the very least run a handful of plays that will get him the ball and free up the other options for the offense.
