...from a few years ago. Dewayne Robertson...can he play in the 3-4? Will he start to blossom under the Tangini regime?

What are your thoughts? I'm not sure what to think of the kid. He was a Bradway product that never lived up to his potential.

Well the draft has come and gone now I think the first camp is May 12th or 13th. Then when camp starts in July will see what kind of coach Mangini really is and I cant wait to go watch. So far so good. Im sure he will whip all these players inot shape and teach the ones who need it most like a Dwayne Robertson.

This is the make or break year for Robertson. First he was an ok rookie, then he had a breakout year. Then he slumped a little, but so did the whole team. Now he has to prove he was worth that #4 and can be a dominant tackle. It is hard when there isn't anyone next to you, but he has to make plays.

I expect this to be a very good year for DRob. And next year I expect him to be a pro bowler. And all this at NT.

if you say so. great DT's dont rely on other players to make them better.

Do you think jenkins is gonna stop being the best DT in the nfl. because they lost buckner?

if dewayne robertson was a top 20 pick than you justify his play as ok. but for #4 ovr pick the guy is bust.

jenkins isnt the only person who impacts that line, buckner was good in his own right, not to mention peppers is someone teams struggle with. and mike rucker is as solid as ellis.

thats just a bad example to me since there really was no weak link on that line.

you make it seem like D rob was the only one onthe dline.

Abraham and ellis gave him two very good De's just like rucker and peppers are

Buckner has never been special the guy dont even play alot of snaps he may start but is rotated alot. . im sorry but jenkins can dominate with or without buckner the field. unlike robertson who completely disappears after ferguson leaves.

52 tackles a 3 sacks is what you guys call breaking out and one of the best Dt's in the game?.. for a DT that was suppose to be a excellent pass rusher? next warren sapp? i think not.

on a side not looks like our superstar has his own website. http://www.dewaynerobertson.com/

well we agree basically, but where my point lies in do you know how much of a dropoff there is between having Ferguson and Reed at NT? Ferguson fulfilled his role to perfection. and Reed speaks for himself. IMO Robertson went from being a little spoiled by Fergs presence to having to do more than he should while playing next to Reed.

i think hes overall solid, my verdict has yet to come though, cuz we both make sense and i understand your logic, an elite player shouldnt take 4 yrs to show up. but i just think maybe edwards approach isnt the kind he needed. sounds like im making excuses, but his flashes are too impressive for me to think he was strictly a product of surrounding talent. i think he needs a NT who just serves the actual NT purpose to a tee. people can do that and not get recognized. but Reed wa sjust garbage he didnt get double teamed he tried to pass rush every down and he'd penetrate instead of holding his lane.

which eventually the C or G will tell the player next to him "dont worry i have him" and this isnt a conspiracy theory to make excuses cuz he did look bad last yr. but put someone next to him who actually recquires 2 blockers and see what he does
