As far as I can tell, at least the media isn't jumping all over Sanchez' shit. Sure they're pointing out the obvious but they aren't calling for his head...yet.

This is definitely not the SOJ we refuse to let go of, so I'm just going to enjoy this season.

P.S. I saw a couple of people saying Clemens would have won the game....to this I say....pass that blunt over, because you got the mad chronics.

Sanchez lost it. Maybe Clemens wins it, maybe he doesn't, but this loss is almost 100% on Marky Mark. He's still a rookie, and he still makes rookie mistakes. You'd hope Clemens would know better than to make the same mistakes.

Stop with the Clemens crap. Really, you are making yourself look silly now.

I'd say probably part of the reason Mark's not getting a lot of flack today is because we played one of three best teams in football yesterday, and were in the game until late. Sanchez made a couple rookie mistakes, but our offensive coaching staff didn't call a great game, and the Saints played some nasty D.

In the Off Season although I was of the mind that whoever played best should get it, I did have a concern that it would be much more difficult to sit Sanchez if he were annointed the starter than to sit Clemens, the logic being that Sanchez is the long term here, no matter what, and in the long term you don't want to start by undermining his confidence.

But that's water under the bridge right now, and the logic of that concern is, now that we are in that situation, don't compound the problem by putting Sanchez on the bench. Suck it up, do the best you can, and offer him support. If he craters, which he probably won't, and hasn't yet, of course, then you cross that bridge and all that. But this is not something to fine tune by bringing in Clemens now.

Charles Grant would have had 8 sacks if Clemens is in the game.

And Sharper would have had 4 pick 6's.

its kellen clemens. stop apologizing for him.

I think it's pretty evident the guy has skills and a desire to win. I wonder if someone like Kyle Orton or Clemens for that matter would have gotten a little more negative press. Even when they're pointing out that it was Sanchez' mistakes that cost the game, they're spinning it in a positive light.

I'm not complaining. And Jr....Clemens can't score TDs. All the defense in the world isn't going to help him win games.

There's absolutely no way you sit the rook at any point during that game. He showed a lot of really good moments, and this is a team to build on. I don't think anyone, Rex included, thought the Jets were making it to the superbowl this year so with that in mind you absolutely must leave Sanchez in no matter how he does. He will get better and these are all things that can be worked on. He showed a couple moments of brilliance, and a more then a couple moments of rookieness. We're fine, Sanchez is fine. The Saints are one of the best teams in football right now. If we can just win the games we're supposed to we should make it to the playoffs.

The defense was absolutely stellar. The only reason we were in the game at all was because of the defense. They were absolutely fantastic. You can only ask so much of them though and we couldn't get anything going on offense. The offense has some stuff to work on but this is a great team.

Sanchez made critical errors. It is to be expected and was expected. No reason to trash Clemens.

I think 3 consecutive rookie of the weeks give him a pass for a game.

And I don't know how this Clemens topic got brought up, but

    a) Clemens clearly will never start for this team so what he would or wouldn't have done is irrelevant.
    b) Having a worse game than Sanchez did yesterday would be almost impossible.
    c) Anyone who's still bashing Clemens for his '07 season is a flaming cocksucker.

I'm 100% I'm not a flaming cocksucker, but i will say it's not just 07 that determined what I thought of KC. It's the whole body of work.

    Thanks, though.
