On both of Sanchez' pick-sixes this year (Houton & yesterday), he drew 15 yard penalties by diving to the knees of a blocker rather than trying to make a tackle. The question is why? Both plays, especially yesterday's, looked like they were coached. Some coaches tell QBs to go down in that situation (because defensive players like to take shots at a QB where they can). But this is different, were pointless in context of the play, negated any possibility of making the tackle, could result in injury and are penalties. Any thoughts as to why they happened?
Not sure why he did it...twice...but I do think he will have to pay the Commish some $$ for that one yesterday.
+1 ... I'd LOVE to see him stop this ... Every time I see him do that I get visions of Joe Namath against I believe it was against the Lions back in the early 70's .... Tore up a knee trying to make a tackle ... We don't need to risk a serious injury on a stupid play
