Let's be honest with ourselves...if someone told us in August that we would be 3-1 after week 4, I think most of us would have signed up for it in a heartbeat.

As Jet fans, we have alot to look forward to. Pace will be back in the building bright and early tomorrow, we have a franchise quarterback who will only learn and grow (albeit with some growing pains) with each passing week, and we have a defense that is actually FUN to watch for the first time in a very long time.

The sky is NOT falling. We were NOT going to go 16-0, so in a way, the monkey is off the back so to speak. On to Miami.

I would sign up in a heartbeat... I pegged us to be 0-4.

I agreed 100% with this post up until that part. I never expected 16-0 but at the same time I always expect to [win. I expected Sanchez to have growing pains and the D played incredible considering no Pace, Strickland, or Sheppard. :jets: and :finssuck:

Hey lets all look on the brightside, Sanchez won rookie of the week the first 3 weeks in a row. Theres even a good chance he wins it this week since he single handedly scored 14 points. Well they were 14 points for the other team but maybe he still wins it!

I agree, It sucks being shown the chinks in our armour but I thought we would be 2 and 3 for the first 5 so I'm very happy to be 3 and 1

Our team was completely underrated coming into the season with many people forgetting that the same offense (minus Coles and Favre) and much less talented defense went 9-7, and even blew out a few teams.

I'm happy that we're 3-1 and that we only lost to a NFC team and not an AFC one, but this loss hurts. What makes this loss worse is that we dominated on defense, slowing down the top offense in the league, and still lost. UGH.

    Turnovers ALWAYS suck.

    Keep in mind two things:

    A) The defense basically put the lid on the most explosive offense in the league. Not only that, but the defense will be better now that the black hole at OLB (the Ghost) will be replaced by a playmaker in Pace. To pile on, we'll have Lito/Strickland back soon. Lowery is not a bad substitute but this defense will only get better as time passes this year.

    B) Sanchez will get better- he's a rookie who went into a very hostile stadium. The Superdome is LOUD. Sanchez has seen ups and downs already in his young career and he will build off of them. It's a nonconference game, take care of business against the Fish next week and all will be good. Horrible game for him but even the great QBs have bad games like this- the rookies will obviously have them.

Not losing too much sleep over this one. This 4 game stretch was brutal and I would have not believed you if you told me we'd be 3-1 after Week 4.

Next 4 weeks are going to be time to beat up on some bad teams- Fish, Bills, Raiders (LOL), Fish again. This is time to beat up on these teams. Take no prisoners. Gonna be fun to watch these games. The next gauntlet will be at the end of the season when we close with Atlanta, Indy, and Cincinatti.

This type of game was gonna happen, and luckily against the saints instead of any of the teams we're about to play. its time to sit back and watch us cruise through the next couple of games and see the huge improvement from gholston to pace

All I know is that this team is set for a long time. Sanchez will get better with experience. Rex will continue to build this defense. We just need to get Sanchez another good WR.

I'd rather this type of game to happen against a good team like New Orleans than against a team we're supposed to handle.

This was the best game to lose. On the road against an out of conference opponent.

We are fine. I actually think this type of game for Sanchez will benefit us going forward. He needs to experience some turmoil, learn from it and get better. I'd rather him deal with it now than week 14.

Exactly... a win this week and a loss to either Miami or Oakland completely takes away what good came of this win. I just hope this group of Jets doesn't play down to the level of competition like they did last season in losing to Oakland, Seattle and San Fran.

I agree with just about all the comments above...Sanchez will hit the tapes pretty hard to find out where he made his mistakes. Even after the two early turnovers, he seemed to be fairly composed. I like what I saw out of Greene. I would like to see when they can let Clowney in the game to open the field up. Brad Smith is not a #3.

    Dear JETS fans,

You have an amazing football team. The loss hurts, but it will help this team in the future, he needed this(Sanchez). I will admit, i have not seen my saints defense play like this since the early 90's when i was 12 years old. That being said, i was equally impressed with the jets defense. These two team put on a defensive clinic out there today.

Heads up guys, you have a special team and mark my words...we'll toast to both of the teams in the Super Bowl.

    peace my friends.
