I KNEW the thread title was too stupid to be true. Have you completely forgotten Pete Kendall? Seriously, you should never be allowed to start a thread again. The title might as well have been "Pennington is 100% ready to start the season", and the first post "maybe".
As I stated in a different thread, I have been iffy about Jones moving back to RT since he is not a great run blocker. However, If he can add some bulk to his frame and add alil more pop to his release off the snap, his run blocking will at least be average, and he will be suitable to start at RT. This would not be a horrible thing, as pairing him w/ Brick would give us quite possibly the most athletic OT tandem ever. This would give us alot of options in terms of screens, sweeps and pass protection. At that point we would need to find a big strong guard for the interior long term who could be the true drive anchor. This is not unheard of as the Cowboys were doing it for years w/ subpar run blocking at the OT positions but having Larry Allen at LG.
Are you stupid your posts show how much knowllege you have. No way we sit Kendall. Next time you post dont post garbage like this unless you have a link saying he will actually move to LG.
even if AJ moved to LG, it would still be better than the saints line...we're not the worst in the league anymore
where in the hell are you getting this from, with Jones @ takle which makes the most sense we have depth and the chance to let the players come into thier own...
I think our new line will look like this on opening day: LT:Ferguson....Back-Up:Jones LG:Kendall...Back-Up:Moore C:Mangold...Back-Up:Teague RG:Teague...Back-Up:Moore RT:Jones...Back-Up:Clements I think Moore will go to being our swing back-up at the guard position. He is not as good as Teague and this line will be an immediate upgrade for running and passing. It also gives us pretty good depth in case of injury.
That would not be good. Moore may leave something to be desired but he's much more talented than Teague is. better yet, would be Snell beating them both out, which I believe is a real possibility.
LT- Teague- has more experience than anyone on the line and will play the most important position on the line LG- Jones- because I agree with the original post C- Ferguson- smart enough to make all the reads; athletic enough to make all the plays RG- Clement- a dominating run blocker to pair with Mangold and give us one of the better right sides in football RT- Mangold- our best run blocker
If Brick dosent work out at center we can always bench him and place Kendall there, who's proven numerous times in the past that he can dominate from the position. D'Brickashaw Ferguson looks like he might be able to replace Jason Ferguson as our nose tackle of the future
