Not sure if this was pointed out already, but good for him. I know he wasn't really brought in as a threat in the passing game, so I hope he kept that ball.
My first reaction to that play was that it was a lineman who caught the pass. I can see why it's his first td. He is big and slow, but needed for blocking.
I thought it was an O-lineman too. He was originally drafted in the 3rd round which, to me, is pretty high for a blocking TE. However, that was in 2004 by Indy, and we picked him up from Atlanta's cut list I think. So perhaps he wasn't a great performer. Or maybe once they got Clark in Indy, who can block and catch, they just didn't need Hartsock.
It was a well executed play, Sanchez and the backs did an excellent job of deception. Only one guy near the end of the play seemed to realize what was happening. A nice looking first touchdown.
Good for him...juding by the amount of teams he has been on I wouldn't be surprised it was his first catch.
Damn i didn't know that although when we signed him i checked his statistics when he was with Indy, Atlanta and the titans and he had a couple grabs for decent yardage per year but i never saw a TD. Congrats Hartsock!
