My feelings about the Giants do not have the slightest thing to do with insecurity, since they were the worst team in football for the first two decades I was a football fan, and I hated them just as much then as I do now (if not more).

Fair enough. In the context of this thread it seemed to come out of nowhere. And I think the insecure label is easily applied to both sides of the fanbase, so that's why I went to that. I stand corrected and readily admit it.

I don't like the Giants cause all the bandwaggon fans after the SuperBowl win. I don't like the Giants because every Sunday my facebook feed gets lit up with the likes of "GMENNNN" and shit like that. I don't like the Giants because their uniforms are ugly. I don't like the Giants because of all the attention they get in the New York media. Most of all I don't like the Giants because where I live, Giants fans are the worst. It's like trying to talk college football to a Buckeyes fan. They think their team is the shit, even if they suck.

Well, November 24, 2008 was too early apparently so I'm leaning towards "yes."

Seriously why do we have 2 threads on going to the Super Bowl on the front page after three games?!?! This is ridiculous folks.

Enjoy the journey. Hopefully we make it this year but hopefully we make it sometime in my lifetime. We are 3 weeks in, last year we were 11 weeks in and looked like the best team in the AFC and it turned quickly. Just enjoy as we hopefully continue to get better. Stop looking too far ahead.

I have been dreaming of the Jets in the SB since 1982, its never too early. I'm not sure why the Giants are entering your dreams though.

To be honest, I want no part of the Giants if the Jets were ever to make the SB. I want all the coverage in the area for the full two weeks, I want no part of sharing that with the Giants and their fans.

I've been dreaming of it since Green Bay kicked the crap out of KC at the end of the 66 season. It's never to early to dream. Realization is another thing entirely.

Have to agree with RichMiano on this one...a Jets/Saints SB would be sweeeeeeet!

Only problem is, the Saints would be incredibly HUNGRY!!! They are one of the many NFL teams that have never brought home a Lombardi.

Can't lose focus, however...it is one week, one game at a time.

February 7, 2010 in Miami is way too far off to even think about....have to stay in the moment, and just keep winning the NEXT one! GO JETS!!!

Let me see here...... 8-3 to 9-7 last year. Way to early for this. The Jets could be 13-3 getting the bye week and it would still be to early to talk SB. One week at a time please.

I visit other teams forums and laugh whenever I read some idiot's posts about how Jets fans are so full of themselves and think they're already gonna go to the Super Bowl after 3 games. I sit there pondering whether to defend our fan base by calling them out on their ridiculous assertions that our fan base is already looking ahead to a Super Bowl appearance.

Then I come back to this. Ugh.

Never too early for New York, New York

But Super Bowl.... yes, way too early.

Joe & Evan were discussing this morning. 1986, Jets start the season 10-1 and Giants were 9-2. Everyone said, NY NY Super Bowl. Then the Jets lose 5 straight, finish 10-6 and lose in the 2nd round.

Giants go on to win the Super Bowl.

Either way, it's way too early.

Exactly! The trick is to pace yourself. The Pattycheats will tell you all day long that they ran out of gas & played thru' some horrendous injuries at the end. They would have given up 16-0 in a heartbeat, to bring home the Lombardi. Now they are still bitter and have not been able to get over how bad that season ended.

One game, one week, one celebration at a time! And may we remain as injury free as possible.

    Seriously dude?

Didn't you have enough of this Super Bowl predicting before January last year? How'd that work again?

Can we just get to the playoffs first? Thanks.
