    Unofficial Depth Chart

    LT

    D'Brickashaw Ferguson
    Marko Cavka

    LG

Pete Kendall - (back at his best position between two rookies)
    Isaac Snell

    C

    Nick Mangold
Trey Teague - (veteran depth at C and G and T)
    Norm Katnick

    RG

    Brandon Moore
    Doug Nienhuis

    RT

    Adrian Jones
    Anthony Clement

OK - they lack some depth and the young guys will make mistakes, but now the FO can re-examine the remaining FA's and see who gets cut June 1 and find some veteran Depth.

Between D'Brick, Kendall, Mangold and Moore, I'm very happy with 4/5ths of our starting Oline. I'd like to see a RT who can run block better than Jones, and some depth, but today is like night and day from last week!

Do you think Treague can try to compete against Jones at RT? We need some better competition for Jones, he is the weak link.

I just hope that the Jets will get another RT to improve the situation. But maybe Jones will surprise all of us, and will become a good RT. Other than that, I think the O-Line will be better than last year, even though the rookies will make some mistakes.

This now might be a little bit off, but I read that Katnik played every position on the O-Line in College. Is there a possibility that he can play RT?

I do like how that looks and Adrian did pretty well at RT last year before he moved to LT.
I also believe he played RT at Kansas.
As the line gets better, so will Jones and 4/5th of the line should be around for 3-5 years if not longer. The only piece that will need to be replace in a couple of years is kendall.

    Our OL is fan-freakin-tabulous!

What an upgrade over last year. Our QB's will actually have a chance...

I agree. Jones is the one guy on the line who I'm still kinda iffy about(excluding the rookies--but I expect good things). If we could get a decent RT for a good price, jump on it. If not, let's see what Jones has. He played out of position almostall of last year didn't he?

We also need to get better blocking from WR/TE/FB/RB. Hopefully Mangini will get on their butt for missed blocks. As last year, was like a circus in the backfield.

I still don't see how people couldve said we shouldve taken leinart. It was obvious we needed a tackle a lot more than a qb.

i think we will have a good o-line but it is gonna take a couple of years. People think mangold and ferguson are just gonna walk right in and be stars, but thats more than likely not gonna happen. Coming in and starting at center as a rookie is one of the most difficult of all positions to start as a rookie. They have to make all the calls at the line, know all the defenses and things like that. It isnt gonna happen right away, maybe not even this year, but our line should be good for a long time down the road.

I think TE Jason Pociask who will probably converted into a FB will improve the Run and Pass blocking

He was the blocking TE at Wisc so he should.

Isnt RG Kendall's natural spot. I thought Moore played LG last year.

Looks good enough to me, dont think there is going to be any June 1st upgrades though some guard depth would be nice

What happens is, the addition of the two solid guys strengthens the entire line. It's an upgrade across the board because it elevates to the next level of play and expectation. Nobody wants to be the weak link, so a Ferguson and Mangold make everyone play better. We're going to run the ball better, pass the ball better, move the chains better. It's a huge upgrade, IMO.

Moore is a very average RG, and Jones is not the run blocker you want at RT. We still need some beef on the right side, so we can actually have a prayer of running for TD's with a first and goal at the five. Problem is, you can't fix the whole thing with one draft. Next year we have two second rounders... (Thanks Tangini!)

I predict Jones will gain some weight, play RT this season, and will replace Kendall at LG next season. We will still need a legit RT in the next draft, although Kavka emerging could be a possibility as well.

I agree. Expect 2 more linemen in the draft next year - a RT and Guard to be the heir apparent to Kendall. At least the line can start to develop now, and there is some depth. Not as much depth as one would like granted, but better than last year. At least Gragg isn't a backup.

    Having 2 rookies start @ the O-Line!???

If that happens, I see multiple offseason surgeries!

j/k If they can start and perform NICE!

    But I doubt it.
