Thank goodness. When I think of guys like Revis, Rhodes, and Thomas...lunatic just doesn't fit. I posted a more detailed explanation in the other thread.
Richard Todd grabbed Steve Serby by the throat and shoved him in a locker when he supported Matt Robinson over him. He kept dogging Todd, and Todd lost his temper. Marty Lyons just smirked and did nothing to stop it. Serby dropped assault charges even though he did get messed up a little. It's infamous Jets' lore. How do you not know that? I never believed that Serby was truly a Jets fan. I still don't.
Because I became a Jets fan in '97 when Parcells arrived. So I wouldn't know about the incident you described. Damn....Serby was lucky to escape with his life.
I still think of the old wrestling tag team, Ron and Don Harris. If the Jets use that name, here comes another lawsuit!
You mean when they came out to some killer music and were wearing business suits and shades? I believe the Tag-Team was called CREATIVE CONTROL. Remember that Vince Russo was doing sh*t there at the time....
I like Band of Flying Lunatics. The Bruise Bros could be Harris and Scott. Skynet for the secondary. On and on & on........or Smack or Sack Asylum
Bruise Brothers was also used by Don and Lyle Blackwood of the Dolphins in the early 80s. So the name doesn't have such good memories for me.
Band of Lunatics is awesome and Organized Chaos is the best way to describe the defensive scheme itself
I feel that way too. Plus, these nicknames - Band of Lunatics, Bruise Brothers - both coined by writers that have notoriously bashed the Jets, King and Serby. Fuck both of those a-holes.
Huh? Now what makes you think that? I just said that "I...BECAME...A....JETS..FAN....IN...1997..." What part of that don't you understand? And besides you took my post out of context. I was responding to jetophile as to why I wouldn't remember the Richard Todd/Steve Serby incident....Why don't you actually read the post before making these ridiculous statements? man....
