All yous guys who are excited about the wonderful o lineman the Jets drafted are now wanting to trade for a runningback. We could have had Bush, Williams, or Malrooney but no we had to draft lineman. You people are all hypocrites.
You are annoying. I love the two first rounders and I also love the talent at RB we have. So there goes your theory...
DeAngelo was two picks away from our grasp at 29....I thought we might take Lendell with 35. I think cap was an issue though.
Who is this guy? Runningback could very well be the most overrated position in football. If you have a good system, you can stick anyone back there and they'd be productive. We would have had to trade up for any of the three RB's you mentioned anyways.
Actually they were all gone by our picks. And Id rather have Ferguson, Mangold, and Julius Jones/Tatum Bell, than Jones, Teague, LenDale White/Joseph Addai any day of the week.
I totally agree. Running backs simply need to follow their blockers and hit the holes. Unless you are Ladanian Tomlinson most backs are the same.
What team are you watching? What GOOD backs do we have? Curtis was good, Blaylock is injury prone and Cedric did not show me much.
The Patriots won the superbowl with Faulk as their feature RB. We didn't need to draft a RB in the draft. The Oline was a much more important aspect to improve on.
Don't worry, we've got a RB in Washington, and don't be surprised if the UDFA we signed makes the team over Blaylock.
Priest Holmes scored 4 TD's against the Atlanta Falcons in one game 2 years ago...but in that same game, Derrick Blaylock scored 4 TD's and had 100 yards as well I beleive... Oline is a huge part of a RB's success. It's nice to have a Barry Sanders, but it isn't necessary.
