So suppose week 4 is here and you have to release someone to make room for Pace... who would it be?

It could be a LB since we'd otherwise carry 10, it could be Coleman... because he's Coleman :p, maybe someone on offense...

The question is who would YOU cut... not who will Tanny choose to cut...

    PS Gholston doesn't count :p

No idea who "Fowler" or "Mulligan" are.

Guys we brought in when the Titans cut them from their 53 man roster... Apparently Fowler is a great ST player so I wouldn't mind having him instead of Izzo...

Mulligan is newer to the offense and unlikely to contribute unless Keller gets injured.

I know but having a back up TE and FB that already knows the offense more than anyone who would come in from the street in case an injury happens is a nice thing to have imo

I've wanted Coleman outta here for a while now. I'd rather put "he was inactive" in the dime package than Coleman.

I voted for Izzo, but I would rather get rid of Coleman, or both and get a FA aquisition

Why Izzo? He's a solid special teamer. Westhoff said he outplayed Murrell on specials.

Fowler. I like O'Connell's upside and would like to have him compete with Ainge for the #2 job in 2010.

I said Coleman but I'm sure it'll be Fowler. At least, Fowler over Trusnik, Izzo, Murrell and O'Connell.

It may be a 7th round pick but we still traded a goddamn pick for the kid.

regardless, i'd like to see a QB go. some teams carry don't even carry 3 QB's, let alone 4. be it o connell, clemens, or ainge.

Fowler is also a former starter in this league. He started for the Titans before losing his job last season. He was a victim of his salary, which was a starter's salary going to a backup. He's not getting cut. This team obviously feels he provides excellent depth. Give him time to learn the playbook and get acclimated to the defense before you start calling for him to be cut.

I said it before, I'll say it again. We will in all likelihood be down one more CB when Pace returns.

EDIT: Obviously, the final comment in the first paragraph was not intended for the poster I quoted.

Didn't Westhoff say he outperformed Cummings? Maybe he said the same thing about Murrell too though... just I didn't hear it.

I voted for Coleman obviously... but when Pace comes back we are going to have 10 LB + 1 extra hybrid LB in Smith...that's a lot of LBs to carry!

One question... how many guys play on special teams? because it seems like EVERY guy we have as backup is supposed to be a ST ace! Trusnik, Izzo, Fowler, Carroll, Wright, Smith... how many do you need?!?!?!

I agree.. i think he can be a young Izzo if you will... very good ST and an upgrade at backup for the ILB position... I would cut Izzo before I cut this guy...

PS this guy became a starter twice (Dallas and Titans) and lost the starting job both times... anybody follows those teams and cares to explain what he did wrong?
