http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcj1...izzlies College Football Highlights NCAA 2005 This is obviously a highlight reel of the Oregon ducks game vs. the Montana Grizzlies. The reason I am showing this to you is because in the clip about midway through...the ducks run a flea flicker, Kellen completely bombs the hell out of the ball and it travels IN THE AIR 63 yards... He threw the ball at the 25 yard line and the WR caught it at the 12-13 yard line... Hopefully this makes people feel better about this guys arm...If he can throw it 63 yards in the air in an ACTUAL football game, I would go as far as saying this guy has a STRONG arm...not just above average.
My best friend's uncle's cousin's half-sister's boyfriend's mother's son's Geometry teacher thinks that his arm is below-average. Even though all the experts disagree. So, his arm is, like, weak and stuff.
I understand that you are just trying to be funny, but I thought that this was a pretty good find and research on my part. The least you could do is reply to my findings instead of trying to draw attention to yourself.
Not a bad throw by any means. At least it didn't hang up there for an eternity. He's no Farve, but it appears he's a bit stronger in the throwing department than Duckwing was. Maybe he will be able to handle the winds of the Meadowlands and the new Stadium as well should he be around that long..
That is an impressive throw, but in the 2 games that I saw him play last year he didn't make a single one like it. Granted he didn't go downfield much, but I figured it was because the few deep throws that he made were not overly impressive (like how the Jets don't waste downs making Pennington launch it downfield.)
the weak arm stuf is over blown he can make every throw. his arm is stronger than chad, leinart, pennington, brees, and harrington
Everything I have seen or heard about Clemens suggest that he has a STONG arm. Everyone is so wrapped up in arm strength on here..You need more than a rocket arm to be a successful QB in this league.
do you guys know what people mean by lack of arm strength?? it isnt about distance i havent seen this guy play, so i wont speak about him. i just wanted to point out that throwing a bomb doesnt prove arm strength when you see ramsey(who i think is an inferior qb to penny) you will see a guy that has an assload of arm strength
that was quite the bomb, but all this tape really made me realise is how much i wish we could have drafted that rb #24 from Oregon.......
Read the first part of my sentence and you would realize I wasn't upset. I just would have appreciated a response from you.
I have no idea man.. Too bad if he is though. Wouldn't mind one bit if he's available say, in the second round in '07?
24 was Terrence Whitehead, he just went undrafted. The freshman is #28 Jonathan Stewart, in one of the other clips you see him carry about 8 defenders 15 yards, it's awesome. Though, he's got some ball security issues like Adrian Peterson had his freshman year. Anyway, about Clemens. He has an NFL arm. I've seen it, I'm very comfortable with it. He's certainly nowhere NEAR post-injury Chad Pennington in that regard, so if that's worrying any of you, just stop it. The 63 yard bomb is impressive, but you can only take it so far. It's nice to know he can get that distance, but hard to really judge how accurate his deep balls are off of one throw. He's got zip on his short, intermediate, and semi-deep routes, that's what really matters.
Then Tangini needs to get somebody on a freakin plane and track Terry Whitehead down wherever he is and sign his ass quick for KR's and PR's. As far as Clemens having good short to intermediate range zip, he's gonna need it in the Meadowlands from late October until January. We can only hope.
