According to ESPN the mag's NFL Draft Edition, the jets clearly addressed their top 5 needs. ESPN had RB, QB, OT, CB, and OG/C in that order. We went with Leon Washington, Kellen Clemens, D'Brick, Drew Olesen, Eric Smith, and Nick Mangold. I would definitley say it was one of the best drafts that the Jets have had in a while. Not because of the 2 first rounders, or the 4 day 1 guys, but because they went deep. They took every pick seriously, and drafted so that everybody they brought in can contribute someway or another.

We addressed most needs but did not go according to their order.
    We needed a Franchise:
    RB (Williams) passed
QB (Leinart) Passed....Clemens excellent backup plan
    OT #4? Ugh.....
C Mangold, Right Pick, Right Time.

and the rest are all practice squad players....

So out of their evaluation we addressed 2 of their top 3 "needs"

We addressed a little more than that IMO

I like most of the picks. I'm still not sold on the Schlegel or Pociask picks though. Time will have to tell.

Considering we needed as you put it franchise players at four positions (plus you can argue about the needs at DT, OLB, and a lack of true #1 WR or CB), it honestly was impossible to fill all of their top 4 "needs" let alone the other ones you can make an argument about. We seem to disagree about D'Brick, but we'll just have to wait and see.

The way the board has been lately, It seems we have to put that in every post because some people don't realize that it's only an opinion.

    IMO....

I don think we addressed all our needs at all. Our two biggest needs coming in were RT and OLB; we addressed neither

I really like the Brad Smith pick. He is going to be a project at WR most likely, but he's got the make up.

I like his size and that's where you pick "Projects".
