This week Shaun Ellis returns from his suspension which should be a huge plus considering the defense did well wthout him and Calvin ''watch while you masturbate'' Pace. The question is who do we cut to make room for him since we have 55 players on active? My guess would be Drew Coleman
So would mine. Coleman being inactive means Cole and Carroll beat him out. I think he's gone. Or Fowler.
My guess would be Coleman as well. Is Ellis' suspension officially over as of the final gun of the Texans' game? Is he clear to begin watching film with the team effective first thing in the morning?
I don't know the rules, but my guess would be, he becomes active after the last game of the wk, Monday night Faiders game. Just my guess though. I have no idea who gets waived though.
Yes he was. I think it?s either cole or coleman, i hope it?s coleman, thou, he sucks, and has proven it often enough, cole could at least develope into something decent. I also don?t see why we?re carring 4 QBs, we got our Guy.
I am still trying to work this out too. You've got to believe one of these guys are going to be cut and it all leads to Clemens.
I doubt Clemens gets cut before the end of the season. He is what every team wants...a reliable, game managing, veteran QB that knows the system. Unless Carolina offers us a 2nd or higher, and even then I'm not sure I would take the risk, he is worth keeping around in case something happens to Sancho. I'd like to know that losing our QB won't mean losing our season and think the CS feels the same way.
The more Qb's go down, the higher Clemens' stock becomes. Too bad he's in his last year because he might have been worth a dp or two in a trade. Now all teams have to do is wait unless they get really desperate. If they are, Tanny can parlay Clemens into an extra DP. Perhaps even a 2nd day pick.. Coleman probably will not be released as he's familiar with the system so look for a couple of no names to get the axe.
We're going to get rid of O'Connel once we have a good grasp of the Pats playbook. There were plenty of teams interested in him when he got released. I still say we ship him for a 3rd rounder, or D-Line depth.
