Minnesota at 7-9, Seattle at 4-12? Seems low for both. Jets at (10-6) seems high but it would be awesome! I will make mine after the rosters are done being shaken up.

Only Jets fans think the Jets will win more the 6 games......the jets will finish dead last in the AFCE.

That's a given so please stop with the playoff 10-6 cr*p...............stop it.

Go see the team difference from last yr...you'll know why. Everyone last yr said we'll go 4-12 until Favre was traded for. He played like shit and we still won 9. We improved over last yr.

Optimism is part of being a fan. I don't see this current Jets roster winning more than 8 games, but I don't see us finishing last in the AFCE. Just a hunch.

If I think they will win 7 games, does that upset you?

I'm not optimostic this year, but behind the Bills? No forkin way. That team is awful. 8 wins is realistic. You think Buffalo can win even 6 games?

I like 9-7 starting with a W in Houston - 2nd in division and we probably just miss a wild-card spot. A great 1st year for Sanchez with plenty of mo going into 010!

AFC only because I don't follow the NFC enough to know. No records because that's asking to get laid low. New factor this year: squishiness rated -1 to -3 in terms of number of positions a team could easily fall, because I think there are more than a few AFC teams with a very large range of possible results based on potential key injuries.

    AFC East (squishiness)

    Pats (-1)
    Dolphins (-1)
    Jets (-1)
    Bills

    AFC North

    Ravens
    Steelers (-1)
    Browns (-1)
    Bengals

    AFC South

    Colts
    Titans (-1)
    Texans (-1)
    Jaguars

    AFC West

    Chargers
    Broncos (-1)
    Raiders (-1)
    Chiefs

    Playoff Seeds

    1. Ravens
    2. Pats
    3. Chargers
    4. Colts
    5. Steelers
    6. Titans

    AFC Champion: Ravens

Coaches most likely to be fired

Marvin Lewis (this is the year)
    Dick Jauron
    Tom Cable

This is the first year in awhile in which no surprise ending is going to come for a big name coach after a long run with his current team, mainly because the good teams with faltering coaches (Steelers, Ravens, Broncos) have already done the dirty deed, and also because Jeff Fisher is completely entrenched in Tennessee and wouldn't be fired even if they had an off year, which is a possibility given Haynesworth departure and Vince Young's failure to develop.

    Story lines:

    1. Pats dynasty winding down. Even if they have a very good year, and they might, the big names from the dynasty are starting to fall away and you need to replace them with just as good to keep it going. Not likely.

    2. Ravens becoming clearly the best team in the NFL as they settle down on offense and begin to move past the Ray Lewis era. They won't be fading away like the Pats because they've just found their QB whereas the Pats leader is aging.

    3. What a nightmare in Oakland. Can anybody take the keys away from Al or are the Raiders just mired hip deep at this point until he passes?
