The final 53 are (not counting Ellis and Pace):

    QB: Sanchez, Clemens, Ainge
WR: Cotchery, Stuckey, Clowney, Smith, Wright
    TE: Keller, Hartsock
    RB: Washington, Jones, Greene, Woodhead
    FB: Richardson
    OT: Ferguson, Woody, Hunter, Kracalick
    OG: Faneca, Moore, Slauson
    C: Mangold, Turner

    NT: Jenkins, Pouha, Green
    DE: Douglas, DeVito, Pitoitua, ELLIS
OLB: Thomas, Gholston, Murrell, Westermann, PACE
ILB: Scott, Harris, Renkart, Trusnik, Izzo
CB: Revis, Sheppard, Lowery, Strickland, Carroll, Cole, Coleman
    S: Rhodes, Leonhard, Ihedigbo, Smith

    P: ? (I refuse to write Hodges :p)
    K: Feely
    LS: Dearth

I think there will be some deep changes to this final 53 man roster

I'm surprised to see both Coleman and Cole...figured it would be one or the other.

1 DB is going to get cut for a WR for sure

maybe someone else for a TE...

I'm guessing Coleman for sure and Kracalick maybe (but he'll get cut when Ellis comes back)

So who are the two to go when Ellis and Pace return? Probably Coleman or Cole is one of them.

I'm guessing either Izzo or Renkart make way for Pace...

I thought it was better to make a thread with the guys who are actually ON the team... and not the guys who got cut.

Yes, it's official... it's the same roster they have on www.nyjets.com

I'd like to keep Izzo. Special Teams beast, and knowledge of the Patsies D.

Doubtful on Woodhead. I'd assume one DB and one LB gets cut. Consider Week 1 an extra tryout to weed out one final CB.

Cummings was tied for the team lead in tackles and sacks and had twice as many tackles as Renkart...I just don't get that decision.

I would think only one of Cole or Coleman will be on this team on opening day. I think one might be cut in order to add a WR.

Deltha O'Neal was cut by the Texans today. He's getting older but he wouldnt be a terrible addition to our team. I'm really worried with how Lito played in the PS.

Rex Ryan: Not necessarily the final roster
11 m ago By Arthur Staple

Rex just finished his conference call, and aside from the minor surprises -- Danny Woodhead making the 53-man, Larry Izzo too -- he sounded like he was eagerly awaiting the 6 p.m. deadline for all NFL teams to cut down to 53 players so the Jets could snap up a couple.

On Woodhead: "I don't know what more he could've done. He's a guy that deserved to be on the roster."

On Izzo, the special teams veteran: "He's never been on a losing team. Let's hope that trend continues."

But the Jets still have some needs, and Ryan sounds as if he wants to fill them from other teams' rejects. A person familiar with the Jets' thinking said that the team may be targeting Pats TE Alex Smith, who may be the odd man out among New England's corps -- which includes former Jet TE Chris Baker; or Browns CB Corey Ivy, who played under Ryan with the Ravens the last three seasons.

No word yet if either player is available. As Rex said: "On Tuesday, there's a chance the roster could look different."

If Corey Ivy couldn't beat out Hank Poteat, why would we be interested in him?

    Love Woodhead making team!

I'm sure Cummings will be picked up be another team.

Allison on IR is funny, we did the same ting with Aigne last year.

We still need a #1 Wr and when we find one Smith will be gone.

In Magnini's world not even Deion Sanders could beat Hank Poteat... the guy must be having a secret love affair with him :p!

Izzo won't go anywhere. He was brought in strictly as a special teamer anyway... To lead the unit
