Well, if not for those two missed 2-pt. conversions, this was a draw. Yes, it's the first preseason victory, but I'm still not crazy about what I'm seeing out there. Sure, the Jets had highlights, but too many missed opportunities and too many penalties.

    Regarding the starters:

Positives: Sanchez played good under pressure.
    Leon looked good as usual.
Stuckey and Cotchery had nice runs after the catch.
    Defense created turnovers.

Negatives: Pass D looked brutal, specifically Lito Sheppard.
Pass rush was weak, not alot of pressure on Eli.
    Oline played poorly.

Sheppard killed us and Sanchez bailed us out. Beating the Giants in his first game was great even if it wasn't perfect. All these other teams are going to seem pretty easy after facing the Ravens and Giants.

Did it ever occur to anyone, that Rex told our D to be "vanilla"? I don't think he wants the Texans to get any good film on us? They were holding back in the first and second quarters. Our D is much better than we showed...I wouldn't panic just yet. We didn't even blitz the Giants until midway through the 2nd qtr. I think this was a throwaway game.

Doubt it get easier. Sanchez will be seeing way more complex blitz schemes and different looks once the reg season starts.... His performance has been very impressive so far, but still a long ways to go.

Shepp really needs to get his feet moving.

Vernon has to be on there, it might not of been a legitimate sack but Carr is shaking after it. Was a vast improvement on anything we have seen.

Sanchez has to be the guy though, didn't start the best, locking onto receivers, but soon started moving and showed some really positive things out there. Definitely a confidence boost

He goes against our defense in practice every day, I doubt he will see anything nearly as difficult as that.

And do the NYJ use every type of formation, coverage and scheme that can be seen league-wide? No. He will still see some crazy shit over the course of the season.

I voted for Gholston and thought I would be the only one. I watched Gholston on every play he was in very closely. Yes, he looked awful on some plays, but he finally showed me some flashes of a good football player. He needs a lot of work on his run defense, but he looked average at rushing the passer, which is a huge compliment for him.

But Sanchez looked great tonight. Any Jet fan that isn't excited about him must still be blowing Chad
