    Thats sucks so bad for me since I paid $400 for the 40GB one. Haha. :)

    So did i. But i dont regret the purchase at all. For what you get $399 isnt so bad.

    Damn 199 if u get the Sony credit card, is there like a yearly fee to keep the card (the black card has like a $400 charge per year just to keep it i think)?

    Word, I bought a 320 gigabyte hard drive from newegg and put it in the PS3...best investment ever. I have like ~40 HD movies on my hard drive

    I just hate that most PS3's are no longer backwards compatible. They are no longer available that way are they?

    I BOUGHT A USED 60 GB WHICH is backwards compatible a second controller and little big planet for $300 last xmas.

    Thats a really good deal.

    But if backwards compatible is an issue for someone just buy a slim ps2 its like $100 or less and pretty small.

    oh no i know its not that big an issue, I just would like to just have the one system. besides i am definately not naive enough to think my one PS3 will last the entire generation....

    but then again that PS3 slim will be much smaller....
