They could have drafted Winston Justice and had D'brick, mangold and Justice

This would have been nice. But instead they got in return shitty picks

They only gave up a second rounder for two second rounders, one next year and a 6th rounder. That's not a bad trade.

Problem with that is, if Washington plays well this year, their #2 pick won't be worth much in '06 and those other two picks will be worth next to nothing in '07 so, pray for the Redskins to suck or we've just outsmarted ourselves..

the trade of #35 was not bad, they got an extra pick this year and a 2nd rd next year.
I still wanted leinart, and i probably should be happier than i am. they got the best OT and the best C in the draft. They are filling needs, now i want a QB.

I think we get a talented prospect on the 53 and we have a nice extra pick next year. Heck, it could be the 64 next year if the Skins win the super bowl and this would still be a decent trade.

The extra pick we got this year? #189. Tom Brady went on 199 in 2000.

Not saying we'll get a great player there but it's another line to drop in the water to see what you can catch.

At worst it will be #64. Next year you'll be liking this pick.

You're probably right Warrior. I allowed 2-3 years for the turnaround anyway so, this trade really keeps us on schedule..

But having the extra pick gives you more ammo to trade up.

EVERY 2nd round pick is good on paper. Don't worry about what the Redskins record will be in 2006. Whether the Redskins go 12-4 or 3-13 it will not make or break the Jets 2007 draft.

What would have been really great would have been if the Jets could have drafted Bush and Ferguson and Hawk and that two of them fell out of the 1st round. That way the Jets would not have had to pay them all first round contract money.

But I guess that didn't happen, so the Jets draft sucked.

doesn't matter if this trade works out for him or not. just by looking at all the other moves that he makes, its just plain obvious that the man is an absolute mastermind:rofl:
