What's the deal with that? Hodges is gone, right? There hasn't been much talk about it and the Jets official depth chart is not updated yet. If we're going to be winning games with our defense primarily, then field position is going to be important.

I could've sworn we re-signed Hodges. Did we get rid of him again?

Such is the confidence in our defense, and the desire to get the QB's as much work as possible, that the Jets will be going without a punter this year. Opens up a crucial roster spot for another white safety.

    Because Whites don't play pro-football.

They are trying Brad Smith out at the punter spot as well. His next position will be an NT.

Yeah last time I checked Hodges was back on the roster. I'm pretty sure we also brought in a rookie to compete with him.. don't remember the name though.

As long as Westhoff is still our STs coach, I don't give a crap who is punting anymore.

I thought that they got rid of Conley and just had Hodges? My mistake.

I'd rather have Hodges than Ben fucking Graham.

It is Conley vs. Hodges. We signed another undrafted free agent punter but we cut him recently. Conley will probably win the battle, he was the NCAA's top punter for the last few seasons. Unsure as to why we didn't sign the University of Utah's Louie Sakoda as well tho. I've been at Utah for the past couple years and he has to be one of the biggest fan-favorite punters/kickers in recent college history.

We have no punter, blocking TE, # 1 WR, or starting QB, but we do have a great defense because our rookie head coach and his following say so. 2010 should be a good season

Maybe they just don't plan on punting this season. Power of positive thinking.

Thankfully we don't have a HC anymore who thinks any drive that ends with a punt is a successful one.

I am really going to have to question this Rex Ryan guy if we don't have a punter on the team.

Blocking TE arent hard to come by. WR is a issue. Hopefully we have a answer at QB for years to come. 2010 should be a good season
