I don't understand why people need to let everyone know they are drunk on a message board.

Hey, look at me, I'm drunk!

By this logic, Heroin, when used properly, is an excellent sleeping aid.

with drugs like heroin, cocaine, etc there are adverse side effects always and they don't go away once you stop

Would you consider the growth of cancerous tumors a side effect that won't go away once you stop?

Hello, Friend. Has your sleep cycle been interrupted by, say, the other shit that happens in your average day? Well allow me to introduce you to Heroin! With one dose of Heroin, you'll be able to sleep for 12-16 hours. Upon waking up, you'll be ready to sleep some more. But this is not the only benefit of this wonder product, oh no. Does your skin bore you? Are you worried that your monotonous epidermis is robbing you of the cultural diversity you so yearn for? Well, allow Heroin to transform it into a mosaic of bruises of decompostition! Tired of expensive dentist bills and trips to the manicurist? We've got you covered. After only a few experiences with our product, you'll soon be relieved of those pesky digits and teeth. Are you tired of things coming out of the tip of your penis? Think it's about time something went in? Are you tired of that skin between your toes serving absolutely no purpose? Well we've got the "fix" for that problem. With Heroin's patented delivery kit, you'll be finding new uses for almost any previously pristine spot on your body. Ever wondered what your Saturday nights would be like spent sitting under a rusted out fire escape somewhere above 110th St., surrounded by vomit, urine, and other bodily fluid-soaked garments of your new friends while trying to work up the strength to slip that needle point into the soft spot next to your eye? We can guarantee that Heroin will certainly leave you with some rather interesting stories to tell your grandkids/parole officer.

Our product is so good it should be illegal!...dumbass

**MANUFACTURER'S NOTICE**In the event that the potential side effects of collapsed veins, infection of the heart lining and valves, abscesses, cellulites, and liver disease, pulmonary complications, including various types of pneumonia, and contents within product which may lead to clogging of the blood vessels that lead to the lungs, liver, kidneys, or brain; simply stop taking the product and all these side effects will hop aboard the mystical Mayflower of science fiction and leave your body so they can seek a better life elsewhere...in this sense it's exactly like steroids. EXACTLY like steroids.

    comparing steroids to heroin?...jesus

no wonder people have really no clue and there's so much unwarranted stigma about steroids.

Scoff...you certainly know more than most and it's good to dispell the bullshit you see on TV (which so many buy into) but you're incredibly wrong about " most people not experiencing side effects". there's always sides effects when you're manipulating your hormones and pumping excess androgens into your bloodstream. Shutting off your natural testestorone production in itself is a side effect (and not fun to deal with after the fact). Acne, hairloss (if you're prone), blood pressure increase, elevated liver and cholesterol values....but the average idiot in the gym who uses it and doesn't have medical supervision or the smarts to get bloodwork done doesn't usually know or realize that. However...done with proper protocol, the side effects can be greatly mitigated.

    Growth?

Steroids can't "grow" tumors. Nor can they even accelerate existing ones.

The only hormone capable of such is IGF (Insulin like growth factor) and those substances that significantly elevate it......

On a related note.....Calvin is a retard for failing a drug/steroid test. Why? Because the NFL testing policy is incredibly easy to get around. Most of them know when the test is coming and most football players only use short acting substances that stay in their system for a limited amount of time. They also do it moreso in the off season where testing is "usually" not as frequent or rigid.
Lets face it....The NFL is about big, strong mofo's crushing each other. People want to see that, lets not be delusional.

The reason the MLB gets crucified for steroid use and the NFL hasn't is because aside from the fact it's what we EXPECT, the NFL has had a steroid policy in place for a very long time unlike baseball. However lax it may be (although they make it appear strict), they were smart enough to not put themselves at risk for that.

i bet at least 50% of NFL players use steroids....and that # might be conservative. How many get caught a year? 1...2....maybe 3.

I'm not even going to bother with the 2 others in the discussion as they sound like a congress spokesman preaching to 5 year old kids about why steroids are "bayad"

What I said was that most users don't have "noticeable" side effects.

Meaning a few people will notice an increase in acne, but only those who get acne anyway.

And the whole "roid rage" thing is a misconception as well.

The other side effects you mentioned aren't noticeable in anybodys everyday life. Increases in blood pressure or cholesterol are about the same as if somebody started eating mcdonalds everyday. Is that illegal? lol

Er, can you say "Lyle Alzado?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyle_Alzado#Steroid_use_and_death

? I started taking anabolic steroids in 1969 and never stopped. It was addicting, mentally addicting. Now I'm sick, and I'm scared. Ninety percent of the athletes I know are on the stuff. We're not born to be 300 lbs or jump 30 ft. But all the time I was taking steroids, I knew they were making me play better. I became very violent on the field and off it. I did things only crazy people do. Once a guy sideswiped my car and I beat the hell out of him. Now look at me. My hair's gone, I wobble when I walk and have to hold on to someone for support, and I have trouble remembering things. My last wish? That no one else ever dies this way."

yes, i can also say "the biggest idiot ever". he's the #1 reason steroids are no longer OTC. you used to be able to walk in the pharmacy and get it in the 80's without a script. The guy ABUSED steroids. he didn't use them. He was a drug addict and mentally unstable to begin with. guys like that shouldn't have even access to caffeine. He took doses that were exponentially above the baseline of a normal user and for extremely long durations. If you're wreckless enough, you can kill yourself with anything including tylenol. He was pathetic. He blamed the drugs instead of his own weakness and decision making. People need to be accountable for what they do and put in their bodies

It's funny how you quote the wiki on lyle in attempt to support the evidence it causes tumors but omit the part directly above your quoted text.

"In the last years of his life, as he battled against the brain tumor that eventually caused his death at the age of 43, Alzado asserted that his steroid abuse directly led to his fatal illness, but every single one of his physicians stated it could not possibly be true, and that while steroids do have harsh side effects, they were not the cause of his brain cancer. According to some reports, Alzado was using natural growth hormone, harvested from human corpses, as opposed to synthetic growth hormones."

the guy was using HGH harvested from cadavers lol.....what an idiot.

that's not a very parallel analogy but my point was side effects aren't just what you "see". It'd take years and years of eating mcdonalds to increase your BP and LDL to the level that certain steroid compounds can within 8-12 weeks or less. It's a wreckless statement or belief to think that. Internal side effects are MUCH worse in the long term than a few pimples or some hair thinning. That's why they need to be monitored and mitigated by proper protocol and bloodwork.

and yes roid rage is a myth. It's an excuse used by people with already serious anger issues who cant take responsibility for themselves. Can it make you more aggressive in certain contexts? Sure...but it doesn't make you anymore of a maniac without you already being one. In those cases, those people shouldn't be allowed to drink or do any rec drugs either.

well i don't know about his legs, but as far as his upper body is concerned he just doesn't look huge. I mean he's obviously in real good shape, but he's not overly big. I play flag football with guys that are easily bigger than him "not even flexing".

All I'm saying is he doesn't look unnaturally big. I do believe he was juicing though.

I did omit it, because that's not "evidence", it's heresay, e.g. no scitifif research, EBM to back up what these no name Dr. have opiniated.... If you want evidence, you must at least do a half assed lit review in an appropriate peer reviewed journal........so if you really want the truth, look it up you might surprise yourself and actually learn something.... do the work.....

Disregarding all of the negative side-effects to your health, have you ever considered the fact that it is cheating a reason why you should not do it?

How did a thread about the Jets having faith in Gholston morph into a discussion about Pace and his stupidity for using roids?
