I think they took D'Brick because they rated him the 4th best player. I would have traded down for Davis after backing off Bush but you can't argue pulling the trigger on how you have it rated and D'Brick has to go ahead of Leinart who just doesn't have an NFL arm.

Yep. That way he can have more time to complete those 10 yard bombs..

This Packer pick will either be Hawk or Davis. Davis would be specifically for Favre. The pick should be Hawk

With Davis and Hawk right there, we pick a tackle, who CAN'T block the RUN. Has anyone watched the Jets lately? All we DO is RUN.

What are you talking about? The media choice was Leinart. It was the safe choice yes, but it was the choice that had to be made.

To bad D brick wont stop ramsey from throwing 20 ints and curtis from avg 3.0 yac. But he will save duckwing from being great.

Ferguson will be an impact player. Maybe he can help keep the QB healthy. That's a pretty big impact.

Lets face it. The Jets have so many problem areas this one pick isn't going to change anything all that much by itself. Hopefully the FO can do awesome with the rest of the picks. That's where they'll be making their money.

Don't forget the Patriots took Tom Brady in the 6th round.

It's a great pick. He will protect Penny, Ramsey, Bollinger or whoever we have back there for year. This draft has now been set up to take Croyle later

It was a great football decision...not a media pick. We don't need Matt. He will NOT be an impact player for 2 years if he is lucky.

Hey, anyone else think this could be part of a trade with N.O.? Get DBrick for us, add your 2nd and 4th, you get Bush....

N.O. and Jets could have been deep in negotiations and N.O. took Bush because they would like either scenario. They are happy keeping Bush or they get a better deal from Jets by actually holding him...

Haha. I wonder how you guys will like a second OL pick with #29 when they take Mangold. I'll be loving it, I can tell you that.
