Exactly. Deangelo might be available at #29.... The picks give the team flexibility.

this could be a smokescreen, the saints may draft bush but it is possible that they have him shipped to another team already and announce it later in the draft

I think we need to make a run a bush. I would rather grab him at number 2 and get a OL at 29. I dont' think we will have to give up our 29th pick for him. Just our 35th and maybe one in the later rounds like 4th or 5th. Bush is the only guy in the draft that is trading up for.

I think the Bush people should be on the phone begging the Jets to make a deal. Joel Segal messed up by asking for the moon from the Texans, and now he has to save face.

If you Tannenbaum, you don't have to have Reggie Bush. D'Brickashaw Ferguson and Matt Leinart will be there for the picking and they are both need players. The Saints have a huge problem in that they already have Deuce McAllister in their backfield. Do they really want to piss him off, as well tie alot of guaranteed cash in one position? In a way,the Saints could use Bush to bring back fans to a refurbished Superdome. It will be interesting to see how Boogie Benson and his boys play this.

As for the Jets, just wait and chill.

Bush = Rocket Ismail, Desmond Howard and every other 'tweener throughout the years. He's good but not worth breaking the bank over. We are in the driver's seat as we can beat any deal out there because we pick before Green Bay and the Raiders.

The Saints want D'Brick or AJ. They may not get either one if they deal with anyone below us. They get to choose if they deal with us. They either give us a deal we cant refuse or they go elsewhere and suffer the consequences.

Stay put and let the draft come to US.

Bush = Faulk is more like it. Comparing Bush to Rocket Ismael is ludicrous.

Agreed. I would of broke the bank to have Faulk play for the Jets. I do think we hold the cards in this one but I just hope we don't blow it. D'Brick is not going to be a great OL, he's gonna be good. He just happens to be the best OL in the draft.

No one knows if Bush is going to be that great. Ricky Williams was AT LEAST as hyped. Ditka blew his career on him. What good did it do? Where is Ricky now?

Yes, Bush is talented. Yes, he will PROBABLY be a star for years to come. NO he is not worth trading up for.

If he falls to 4 and the Jets take him, then fine. However, I would love to have him fall to us, and trade down, knowing Green Bay would love to have him. That #4 would suddenly be gold.

(I am REALLY glad some of you posters aren't in charge of this franchise. Anyone willing to throw away the rest of a DEEP DRAFT for ONE GUY, regardless of the ability, is CRAZY.)

Of course they will take D'Brick @ #4

another boring fat tub of lard.

most boring pick of the draft for the high picks. even sf at 6 and oak at 7 will get studs and exciting players like aj hawk and vince young

im pissed how jets management are conservative puzzies year in and year out

they will regret it trust me.

Couldn't agree with you more, Jetfighter. If Bush falls to us, obviously take him. I also wouldn't be opposed to maybe even trading #29 to move up. But anything more would be too much.

Exactly. Bush weighs like 8 pounds less than Faulk.

If we dont end up with Leinart or Bush than we are off to a shitty start with the "new" Jets

I think the #4 and #29 pick should get the deal done. And I dont' consider that trading away the draft for one guy. We will still have our 35th pick overall. It shouldn't take anymore then that cause NO is in a jam. they cant' afford to draft and pay Bush. I agree that I don't think we should give up more then that, but if we can get it done wtih 4 and 29 we HAVE TO DO IT!!!!!
