Here's something I haven't seen discussed much as it seems unlikely, but who knows? Let's say NO sticks to their guns and demands a king's ransom for the #2 spot. If they don't get a deal worked out, they could still take D'Brick. The thinking is that they probably want more than what the Jets are willing to offer but know that if they drop down past 4, D'Brick will be taken by us and gone. So, let's assume they don't get the trade value they want and they highly covet D'Brick so they sit tight and take him. Now, Tennessee may not pass on a QB, but with Bush sitting there they could grab him. They'd probably also get trade offers if this were the case, so they could risk trading down 2-3 spots. Let's assume that they either take Bush or trade with someone else who jumps up to get him. Then the question is, what do the Jets do? Jeff
Dern good question. They might look for someone who wants to jump GB for Hawk. They might go Hawk. I don't think they want any of the QB's that high. If they could trade down for Cutler, they might go that route.
Probaby a trade down for cutler. This is what I think they would do not what I want them to do. Or trade down for ngata.
THEY would take Leinart IMHO. I would trade down and try and get Cutler or even not worry about a QB until later.
Leinart! That's a great thought bc I think this is what will happen. I'd also take Leinart unless we can fleece Al Davis for a shitload of picks(unlikely bc in this scenario Young or Leinart will be available at #7).
I personally think they'll trade down with an eye to getting Cutler outside of the top 10. It certainly does present some interesting trade possibilities especially if no other trades have happened at 2 or 3. Jeff
PUNT??? That what this team has always done!! How about draft Leinart or Young. Damn!!!! These guys are BLUE CHIP PROSPECTS and you want to just let them go??
Trade down or Hawk. With Hawk and Vilma manning the middle of our D for the next decade it will be like Marvin Jones and Mo Lewis except BETTER!
