Jake grove is 29 years old now. So your saying i was preaching a 27 year old center as a cornerstone for ther next ten years. You sure it wasn't in 2004. Injuruies happen and Grove has a knee injury(microfracture surgury) that not going to let him play in any 16 games. The guy knee won't hold up. IF microfracture surgury was the answer Jeremy Newberry would still be Raiders center. That was a center that was as physical as they come. J Grove will never be confused as a physical center.(that been his biggest knock )

Like I said, this is like TGGs very own special olympics. You can't root for someone in the special olympics, you kinda just feel sorry for all of them.

Yea enjoy Samson Satele, when ILB's and DT's are pushing through him like a revolving door.

It's pretty obvious that your just pissed your shitty Raiders couldn't afford him. Not much else to say really. Raiders suck and you need to go jump in traffic for being a Radiers fan.

Satele's POA success rate last year? 79.5, worst on the Dolphins. Jake Grove's? 90.6, one of the best. Enjoy that pussy Satele as your starting Center. I sure hope the Faders have good enough Guards to make up for him getting thrown aside by DT's like a schoolyard bitch.

wouldn't it be nice for raiders and dolphin fans everywhere if they could have an oline like the jets? then we wouldn't have to cry about jake grove and samson satele.

the jets OL has been analyzed as one of the best last year.

the fins definitely aren't near the Jets. Even with Long at LT

I'm not worried about Gibril WIlson. Cris Clemons has been getting good reviews so far this offseason and might me able to step up if Wilson flames out. I'm more worried about Jake Groves. If Gibril Wilson blows we can survive that. But you need a strong OL. Jake Groves is going to be really important to the Dolphin's success this year.

I just hope you have a backup center that can step in when(Not if) Jake Grove goes down. This guy is 29 yaers old with gimpy knees that aren't going to suddenly get better. What was bill Parcells thinking. Does this guy know olineman. I remember he signed a Olineman from the Oilers/Titans(i Believe) who never made it out of Camp(retired only to come back and play for another team) Who wasa that olineman Parecells signed a big freeagent contract when he was running the jets.

Actually Mawae came over from Seattle. I can't remember who he's talking about.

Are you talking about Tom Nutten? The OG that Bradway signed from the Rams who tried to make the team in TC, retired(returned most of his signing bonus) and came back the next two years for the Rams? That's the only one I can think of that remotely fits that description and he wasn't signed until after Parcells had retired.

Couple facts that you should be aware of. RG Cooper Carlisle was argueable Raiders best olineman in 2007. Teams started in 2008 to put their biggest DTs over Cooper and he struggled mightly. So Jake Grove was not seeing the monster DT across from him.

Another fact. Samson satele played with a torn labrum all last year. You honestly don't think that had any effect on his performance last year . Comeon don't let facts get in the way of your posts.

Last you do know the diffrence between what Dolphins ask from their olineman in a man on man blocking scheme, and what Raiders ask their Olineman to do in a zone blocking scheme. (denver system) Again Samson Satele is perfect fit for the Raiders system. thanks.

I don't recall the name of the player but my recollection is it was someone from the Titans who Jets signed. I remember bill Parcells still be in charge(Might have been GM only) Will try and do a search and come up with name. Hey even a genius like me. sometimes makes mistakes.

I think your lost, I think you have no idea what you're talking about. You're comparing apples to oranges. Satele will fit the Oakland zone blocking scheme better than Grove and Grove will matchup with Miami's Power Blocking power scheme Miami likes to run better than Satele. You're trying to make this a head to head thing and it's not what this was about. It's about who fits the scheme each team runs better. Graove is a mauler, Satele is finess. Miami needs their Center to move the DT/NT and Satele was not that type of Center. Satele was constantly being shoved around by bigger players.

Also, I unerstand Satele had a chest injury, but honestly, how serious could it have been for him to continue playing? From what I know about the injury Staele had, it's a very painful injury and the upper body is very important to blocking. If Satele were seriously injured, he wouldn't likely be able to lift a samll sandwich much less block a 320 NT. I think his injury was greeatly exaggerated.

You also have a nack in the little time I've read the things you write, to post for effect, not substance. You're simply starting crap just becuase to you it's a fun thing to do. Basically you're wasting everyones time with this stupid "My guy can beat up your guy" type of idiotic posting. You have no idea what will happen with each player on their new teams, but your trying to convince everyone you've seen into the future and you have it all figured out, spare us this ignorant mindset. Everyone knows better, let the players play the game and when the results are in, then talk. Until then, just shut your piehole because right now it's just gum flapping.

It doesn't matter who wins, because they are all losers.
