The Saints in this draft were looking at 2 guys @ 2: Brick and Williams. With williams gone, they're need is OT. Brees is coming off a shoulder injury, and they really need the pass protection to make sure he doesn't die. I hear SF is willing to trade the farm to get Bush, (6, 22, first/2nd next year) and I'm sure many other teams are willing to do the same. BUt can NO really go lower than us, knowing if they do, they won't get their guy? Most likely we take Brick @ 4, which leaves NO out of their 2 top choices. Granted they would still get more picks, but it seems as if NO+Brick is just a match made in heavan, and it would be retarded of them to place themselves in a position where Brick is unavailable. What do you guys think?

If they were to trade down to #6 with SF, they have to know we take DBrick at #4 and have to know that GB would take Vernon Davis, b/c they either want DBrick or Hawk. Surely they wouldn't trade out of a spot where they couldn't land one or the other!!!

who says New Orleans isn't looking at a QB still? Brees' injury is more serious than Chad Penningtons was and look at what has been going on with him. They could trade down to SF and take Young/Leinart.

Disclaimer: the above post is pure speculation and is in no way based on any fact.

Hawk would fill their biggest need. They could likely trade as far down as 5 and get Hawk or Ferguson. We;d take Ferguson at #4 and GB will take Hawk at #5, which means the speculated interest in #2 from the Raiders, 49ers, and Cardinals don't make much sense for New Orleans.
