I'd offer Drob and #4 for Saints #2 (Bush). If they don't take it, stay at 4. The last time we traded a fortune for a player (Robertson) look what happened. I think the 'Aints would seriously consider Robertson and our #4 because I don't think the 'Aints want to go any lower than #4 and miss a chance at Ferguson. Plus, the Saints WANT to trade down and save money so the Jets are actually bargaining from strength. Drob doesn't fit our 3-4 and is too short, so I'd move him before throwing in the other draft picks the Saints want.
Then trade him for a 4th or 5th round pick--he's way overpaid. I'd love to package him in any trade any get a real NT in the 3-4. As another poster pointed out, the jets traded 2 number 1s and a 4 to get him. They would therefore be offering the saints the equivalent of 3 number 1s and a number 4 for Bush. Since the Saints play a 4-3 they might be interested--the worst they could do is say no.
Oh, that's generous. Offer the Saints a severely overpriced DT, with no cartlidge in his knee, instead of 29 and 71,, they'll jump at that. ???????????
JUST GIVE THE SAINTS 29, 71 and 4 get a late rounder from them to make up the difference and print up the BUSH jerseys!
Drob was a combine player...he shot up the boards well after the season ended..I don't blame Bradway, b/c everyone loved DRob, however, I think he is James Reed with a big cap #...But back to my point, Reggie Bush is a gamer, has been the best player all yr in college, so do not compare him to Drob in college
It makes as much sense as trading two #1s and a #4 for that same DT who you now berate--trading all of our high draft picks for Bush will make as much sense as it did for Robertson--check the roster and you will see we have needs EVERYWHERE, not just RB. I guess you think we are 1 player away from the Super Bowl.
offer DRob? they might as well offer testicle cancer to the Saints, too... New Orleans would have the same amount of interest.
