Vince Young revealed that he considered quitting football after last season's opening game against the Jaguars.

It's been suspected that he considered quitting but VY had previously denied it. "I was to the point where man, I didn't really want to play no more because of the fact that I was that hurt," Young said. "I was that hurt from the boos and all the different things that were going on. It was just so much for me ? I didn't want to play no more."- Nashville Tennesean

What a little baby, grow some balls

Poor baby, you should expect to be booed when you dont play well and you have a huge contract.

No kidding, the guy's being paid millions of dollars to play a sport that the rest of us just get to watch. He works hard for 6 months and gets to hang out with his teammates and bang gorgeous chicks year-round, and he wants to quit because he got a hard time from the fans and his coaches?

Hundreds of players have gotten is worse than him from the fans and they have stuck with it, and if he quits football, does he think that he will never be criticized in whatever he tries next?

His Mama needs to tell him it's time to be a man....this is a good way for him to lose the respect of his teammates too.

If this idiot had his head on straight he'd use the boos as motivation. What a bust.

Jeez Vince, it's a game after all. You are the franchise QB, getting paid millions of dollars, you sucked and got booed. Get over it and go sit at your mansion and relax. God I am glad the Jets did not pick this dude.

This is way overblown. The guy was injured, he got benched and he's probably starting to realize he doesn't have the smarts to be an elite NFL QB. Obviously retirement for him would be retarded but you can't blame him for contemplating his future.

This is all a factor of that University of Texas religion. These poor schmucks spend their whole young adult life being worshiped instead of taught and trained. No surprise that some of the biggest headcases in the pro game honed their delusions at UT. Just off the top of my head, VY, Ricky Williams, Rodrique Wright, Cedric Benson, Mike Williams... there's some substantial publicly documented personality disorders there.

Dallas WR Roy Williams is another wacko. Shaun Rogers has had some issues, too.

No I don't think he can even do that.

Terry Bradshaw. C _ T. Intelligence is definitely a plus for a QB but there have been a few people (Joe Flacco) who weren't the shiniest apple in the barrel and still managed to play well even early on.

Vince Young's problem is that it was handed to him and he had some real success in his first season, winning games the team just should not have won. Then season two comes along and the miracles stop, because they really were miracles, and Young has no clue how he made all that happen. He gets hurt and he starts to get booed (which was pretty shortsighted of the Titans fans if you ask me) and he didn't handle that very well.

On the bright side he has one of the best coaches in football on his sideline and he also has a 35 year old guy in front of him on the field. We'll probably see him rise again at some point in the near future.

Assuming he can keep his mouth shut and not get the fans all riled up again, which is iffy.
